Try working in the dry storage locker on a 21v when you're 6'7" and not quite as svelt as Talltigeguy. The opening is really small and hard to work in even after I removed the door.
Your going to have a great sounding system, Kicker is excellent quality gear and puts out a great sound. It wont project 80' back to the rider like pro audio will, but you didn't pay for that, but instead, went for a quality, mid-performance setup. As long as you keep this in perspective, you will be very happy
Adding a 2nd battery be a great addition. It will allow you run the system with engine off for a couple of hrs, and not worry about a dead "starting" battery. It can be done for about $150 and most of that is the battery.

Do you know the diameter of the E series tower? Unfortunatly the Kicker KS60speakers i ordered for the tower max out at 2.5" and I am worried because the Z tower is 3"

I am wondering if I screwed up here?
2-7/8 I think. Who makes the cans, Kicker is just the speaker that the the can manufacturer stuffs in them? Ask the seller, or contact the Manufacturer and see they can swap out the clamps.

You might want to talk to philsailz, he knows Kicker stuff pretty well.
Well I took your advice and talked to Liquid Audio Sounds and they don't make a clamp 2 7/8 inches. I have no idea why if they were the Tige default tower speakers in 2007 and possibly earlier. Well the bfl is that the Liquid Audio KS60's will be going back to them. They were gracious and apologetic about the issue.
I then called wetsounds to take advantage of the XS650 coaxials and by time I was done with the conversation I decided based on what Justin told me is that mounted in cans these will do ok but will not project that far nor will the sound disperse out of the wake.
Since I plan on keeping the boat for a while and everybody is so hot on Wet Sounds I decided to get a pair of P80's for the tower. Even though they just a lot more expensive than what I was going with originally everybodies advice was pointing me this way I found "B" stock and bought them.
Now all I need to determine is will the 2 channel amp I bought a Kicker Zx250.2

Tige used Kicker KS650.2 component speakers in tower speaker cans made be SKYLON. Wet Sounds is now thier "default" tower speaker.

Since I plan on keeping the boat for a while and everybody is so hot on Wet Sounds I decided to get a pair of PRO 80's for the tower. Even though they normally are a lot more expensive than what I was going with, originally everybodies advice was pointing me this way, so I found "B" stock and bought them.
Now all I need to determine is will the 2 channel amp I bought, a Kicker Zx250.2 drive the Wetsounds PRO 80's?
8-gauge power and ground leads recommended wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
will this amp be enough for the P80's? I really don't want to spend even more!
Question for philsailz will this amp drive the P80's. I am sure it won't supply 100% of the output the P80's could use, but is it useable?
Gotcha, I misunderstood what the 2007 tower speaker was constructed of. One more for the dimwit(me)
All is ok by me because if I kept the Kicker KS60 speakers and changed out the cans to SKYLON or another brand. Cans would be in the $110 to $150 range and say I needed brackets for the 2 7/8 inch tower I would estimate say 150-190 for the cans & brackets plus $300 for the KS60 Kicker speakers. Let's say another route allowed me to find clamps that fit the Liquid Audio Sounds Cans the basic speakers with cans + clamps would get me to $350-$375 plus shipping twice.
Bottom line the PRO 80 is a better speaker set which did not cost me tons more than I would have been investing the other way so I went with PRO 80 B Stock Speakers.
The only concern now is will theamp i bought, the Kicker ZX 250.2 2 Channel 500 watt Amplifier for Tower Speakers drive the Pro80's?
The pro 80's are 200 watts rms. I think you are going to be underpowered from my limited knowledge I have learned on here and wakeworld. You want to get close to matching the amps rms per chaneel to the speaker rms.
Thats just my two cents, We will wait for the knowledge guru's to chime in
xpjim1 is correct. If you want to get the most out of a speaker. Finding an amp that is rated to close to the same RMS rating or more power is the best option.
For Kicker, the ZX550.2 is rated at 205x2 which is close to the RMS of 200 for the PRO80. If you got a good deal on the ZX250.2 and can get another one. You could always bridge an amp on each PRO 80 giving each one 250 watts
Not sure if you have the space for that but that would rock!
