    Tach

Anyone know anything about tachometers? Mine isn't working. when I climbed under the dash, it was unplugged, but plugging it in didn't take care of the problem. I assume that it hadn't been working and someone unplugged it while trying to figure it out.

There's usually a connection somewhere near the distributor to keep track of RPMs...make sure there isn't another wire off somewhere...
    Ambivalent? Yes. Or Not.

quite a few people with older boats have had problems with gauges. If it won't work at all you might be able to pick up a matching one or a whole new set of gauges for not much more.

Also what engine do you have in it. Is it a Merc or MP?

Against manf defects or fogging, yes. His issue could be a myriad of things, not necessarily the gauge.

Spharis would be more qualified to answer this... but after you plugged it in did u look to make sure a fuse wasn't popped.

Of course, then I guess the rest of the guages probably wouldn't be working.
