    new bimini question

so what do you all think about the other the top of the tower biminis?

I for one dont like it that much, restricts what you can do on the tower, speaker and light wise.....
I liked the one from last year on the RZ4, easy to use, unlike my rz2 bimini which you needed a MIT degree to figure out, plus it was completely destroyed by the end of one summer.

Once we figured out how to install ours, it is fine. I had to lower the brackets to allow the Wetsounds to fit, but it works fine and there are no straps in the back like our 23V had. The swivel brackets are a must.

I wish the bimini were on top of the tower and not below. I works as a barrier between the driver and the speakers. You also have to take the bimini out to be able to use the lights.

dunner....thats what we had to do with the RZ last year, lower the brackets, but the replacement bimini is the one that goes over the tower as Tige' is no longer making the ones I had last year, the one you have that goes under the tower.

I kinda like it underneath, it was bigger and also you can put speaker upside down and I was going to be able to mount the lights, not I have to rethink where to mount them

I like the new bimini design, it's definitely going to be easier to set up. I didn't think about the speakers, though.

Do they have a new bimini design for 2008, or is it the same as the 2007 I have on my RZ?

do you have your rz underneath the tower and going back a bit?
the new one goes over and you have to add an extension to it to make it longer

I think so. The one I saw at the boat show had the back part of the bimini attached to the rear tower crossbar and it folded forward from there. So, in other words, there was no separate rear tube for the bimini. I wish I had pics.

That looks like it offers zero protection, unless it's noon. I prefer to have the bimini under the speakers, as it shields my wife and kids from the sun and when I turn up the Addictions it adds a little barrier. They don't sound good up close anyway.

I like the new design, my is the old that goes under the tower. The only negative of the new design is that it could be a little bigger

Tige's were quite a bit bigger that what you're seeing in the picture. I pulled those off the Monster Tower site to show what I was talking about.

Your hardware is good, right? I would bet you could get one made cheaper then from Tige, even is it was still offered
