Shoot, last time I got an annual raise, merit or otherwise, was 1999 when I was still in the Navy!!
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

ha ha... ok yall are way to educated cause i dint understand half of the crap yall said .. lol

but the bottom line is that work ethic in this country has gone to total sh*t. no body takes pride in what they do any more. i mean the girl in mc donalds cant even fix my god damn burger right. its realy getting to the point that we are excepting our failure to produce productive generations and it is getting worse by the day. so now we are shelling out money to help the ones out that dont work and the ones that do have to suffer because of it. i remember when i was only like 13 or 14 and i was working for this landscape company. they we on cotract with a government housing complex to mow the whole property. it was like 115 degrees in the dead of summer and i was youg and not even old enough to tec. get a job and why we were mowing the people who lived there were just standing out side drinking their 40 oz shliz malt liquor laughing and poking fun of me pushing this mower that was as big as me. again their lazy so we pay their rent. great system. and be ready for it to get even worse with the dems comming into office... ( im sure i just opened up a bigger can of worms with that statement). its an uphill losing battle from this point on and i just hope that i will be good and dead before this country crumles which we are on the verge of anyway in my opinion. i think our main problem is being able to buy things with out having the money to pay for for them. and treatin other people that dont have in the hospitals with out insurance or are illegal so my insurance rates go up. then when their kids are born instead of sendin them back to mexico they are now american citizens. all total bull sh*t. were screwed and we be eventually taken over buy the non-productive citizen in our country. i beleive that the hard working american with morals and ambition is the minority by now anyway. well im realy to young to argue any other topics due to my ignorance on the rest of the issues with me being only 23 so i will leave it at that.

I didn't get a chance to finish the article but the income is based on AGI not gross income. I don't know if it is based on 2007 or 2006 tax years but there is a little break with it being AGI. This is before deductions and may or may not help you I don' remember the AGI needed but for somee of us the break will not help.

God being self employed sucks sometimes!

Haven't seen a tax return in lord knows how long..... instead I get to pay out $XX,XXX every 3 months. Even if I do over pay, it just rolls over into next quarters taxes.

Someone wanna hire a guy w/ two B.S.'s, and can fully frame, roof, plumb, wire, sheetrock, and trim a luxury market house????

I'd finally get to buy those toys... and at least then I'd lose my liabilities...lol.

You know the sad part is, if your a married teacher and fireman, your considered upper middle by the dems. As that should put your income above $100K. That's not right. But then again, I don't think it's right that there's some of us that have to pay nearly 50% of our income to taxes. FLAT TAX ... that's what I want...lol.

Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

$150,000 is the top for a married couple. For every thousand over that the rebate goes down 5% I believe. If I remember the cap is $170,000ish......

If your AGI is above $150K it looks like to this ex-jarhead no rebate for you if you worked hard to get where youre are financiallywith 3 incomes for my wife and I. So I get to be a sucker and give money away to many f_t dumb and lazy people who collect money in the land of oppurtunity with nil, nada, none in the effort column. Is why I got outta the suck and now 30 years later BOHICA

No body gave me the money from when I worked from 15 to current. Hell I can't even win the lotto. I got here from hardwork, long hours and multiple jobs. My favorite second job was unloading Toyota's off the trains that they come cross country on. Demo Derby and speed racer time. Just a few crunched roofs and a few banged up chassis from missing the ramp between cars.

I can see your point, but it's hardly a democrat or republican thing. There are three problems with the country according to Sparky216:

                              1. Term Limits: There is something wrong with a Career Politican, it's an oxymoron. That was never the intention and what has occured is politicians are now looking more towards re-election than making the tough choices to steer the country in the right direction. This would also force the politicians to live under their laws, it is a crime that they exempt themselves from the legislation that they pass. A crime.

                              2. Taxation: Flat tax anyone? Anything but this regressive tax that unfairly taxes every income group. Why does a married person, person with children, or a homeowner pay a different tax liability than a non. Why punish success? It's the governments attempt to engineer a society.

                              3. Immigration: Can you blame someone from coming to this country? Wouldn't you make every attempt to come here to work, where jobs are plentyful and wages are good. Go to the INS website www.uscis.gov and navigate around a bit. Now imagine that you are a poor, uneducated migrant worker that does not speak english. I would look like a monumental task to be a "legal" immigrant. There is so much bureaucracy, red tape, and money to enter legally that I can't blame someone from just hopping over the fence to work. Is this right? Nope, but you cannot just disregard the reality of the situation. I have a lot of empathy for the immigrant that want's to work, but there needs to be reform to clean up this mess. Also I would say that there is a lot of data to suggest the illegal immigrant actually leaves more money in the federal coffers than they take in social services. Perhaps this is the reason nothing is being done to curb the illegal immigration.

Now if only my wife would hurry up and get ready, then I could stop internetting and go have fun.....

i do understand what you are say about having a better chance to thrive in the usa but it realy makes it harder on people like my self who are trying to make money at the right price and the they come along and undercut me by a few hundred dollars (which is prob. still way more than they make in mexico anyway) and i loose it due the the fact the few hundred dollars that he undercut me was realy the sales tax that i have to charge. so 2 things happen from this situation. #1 i get scwered pretty much by making money the honest way by the one one who is already here for free getting the benfit of the real us citizens . #2 the customer just played a important role in srewing the system that we live by , by not paying the sales tax because is was a few hundred dollars cheaper. it just go on down the line from there and its a chain reaction to everone getting screwed all because of the first person.

dem vs. rep. i agree. i might have been a little out of line for saying that and to be real honest with you i am gona actually vote dem this year even know im rep. you cant realy vote a strait ticket any more do to people on the same team still shoot at different hoops. that being said i watch alot of the debates on tv and the dems. or realy wanting to expand the finacial aid for the heath benefits for the people who are poor and dont have them . see the problem with this is the majority of people that are poor choose to be poor due to their lack of motivation and being just plain lazy.. agree ? there lies the problem again for helping people who refuse to help them selves.

and last but not least i realy dont understand why they make different tax bracets. I do agree that if you make a lot of money you should not be intitled to give some of it back for the ones that dont . i also dont agree with having to pay for other people bankruptsy (i think i just mispelled that) either. then they just rebuild like its no big deal and have very little obligation to fix what he has done.

the system started out great but it got out of hane when some they started treating us all unfaily. ex. if you got so much money back and didnt pay anything in i feel like i should get it to. and then it got worse by us being selfish and starting to scam the system and so and so. so now we have pretty much ruined our own system by wanting to be treated fairly which if they would have done to begin with then we would prob be arguing about all kinds of other stuff so its kind of .................half a dozen in one hand and six in the other...
