The wife works for the county as well in Child Care, paying these same lazy #$@! for someone else to watch their kids while they supposedly work or try to find work. They scam the system for all it's worth. The more kids they have the more they get so guess what? They're also career fornicators!
I hear the stories from all three and believe me we pay out for these lazy people to do nothing per se. It comes out of our pockets and we all pay for it somewhere but as long as the standards are as lax as they are it will continue.
Should these people get a tax rebate? HELL NO, but the feds think otherwise. And the amazing thing is this so called rebate will not go against their projected earnings and they'll still get their free money from us! Welcome to America my friends, no wonder we're the "Land of Opportunity". The real sad party of the whole scenario is that the people that really, i mean really need the assistance suffer too because of these people!
Bite me!
LET IT OUT!!!!!!!

How'd ya feel a few years back when those same lazy sumbeaches said they were "entitled" to "reparations" because the white devil had enslaved thier great-great-great grandparents? That was good for a laugh!
How 'bout this simple little idea...I know it sounds crazy...it's called work. You actually get a paycheck for doing something productive! They should try it, it will give them something to do between makin' babies and jacking up thier beat up old police cruisers turned ghetto sled.Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I'll agree with you sparky. I have a big problem with the checks going out to people who may not have even paid in taxes or got 100% returned; devaluing the dollar though.....that's the way it works.
I'm all for fair or flat tax. I would love to only pay in 30% tax on purchases. Last time I worked it out, by the time it was said and done (property, sales, state, local, income, etc, etc), I was paying close to 47% of my income to taxes. I felt Canadian.
It will never work with DC the way it is driven by lobbyists though. Cars, homes, and large purchases are all driven up and done because of taxes, tax rebates, and tax incentives (to lower your over all tax owed). They will never let it go through. Could you imaging going to buy a car and instead of paying $4000 in taxes, it was $15000. For groceries and man made materials, there will be no tax because everyone will pay cash from the local farmer. I don't think big gov will ever let that mature.
Seriously I'm happy for everyone that is getting their money, and I hope everyone gets a new Xbox game. We have empty factories in Michigan and Ohio, a viable work force, and a need for energy, why are we not INVESTING in our future instead of giving it away? Lets start researching in green energy and using that technology to create green collar jobs which employ people. We have roads in disrepair and an educational systems that could perhaps use a bit of updating. There are large projects that require a large investment from society that need to be tackled......seems that 100 billion would be a good start. I'm not advocating that the government is the savior and I think that if there is money left over then it should be returned to the taxpayer, but this is a joke. Let's print more money to make the masses happy.
Since there is nothing that we sane Americans can do, perhaps I will root for massive inflation. While I have good income, I also have large debt. Business loans, personal loans, mortgage, Tige, car......etc. Lets see some crazy a$$ inflation so I can pay off these bills quickly and cheaply.

You really believe that the lobbyists are behind true tax reform, or is it the inablility for our government to plan long term because of short term political greed. I heard once that there was concern for all the people (lawyers, CPA's, IRS, various Govt officials) that would be unemployed if we went to a flat tax system. I mean I kind of understand this, my neighbor the archer who fletches arrows and my other neighbor who is a blacksmith are also concerned..............

Well said. Realistically, if that $ were spent on researching/implementing fuel efficiency projects we could probably save ourselves that 1200$ every single year FOREVER, not just a one time thing.
Govt. makes me crazy. You want proof Govt officials aren't into it to improve the country? Show me a poor politician.Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

So here's just another example of government waste as reported on CNN this morning: Flight instructor gets $5 million for catching '20th' hijacker. "Catches"? The guy didn't catch squat! He told his boss about him, made a few comments and let it go, period. Where in the hell does the state department get off with a $5 Million dollar reward? Could not this money be better spent elsewhere? Your darn right it could yet this kind of crap continues! Wastefull and non-productive spending!
WAIT! Maybe he'll spend the money and boost the sagging economy! Yeah that's it!"Call me anything you want ... Just don't call me NOBODY!

"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!"
Benjamin Franklin
The politicians found out that if they give away money, they can keep their power. People running around with their hand out to the government drive me nuts.
Ever feel like the lamb in this contest?

Seriously you should explore the area down here. I can go to a gazillion places right now and buy handmade furniture, goods, food and it could all be made tax free tomorrow; in fact many times it already is.http://www.wakeboatworld.com

"I am not among those who fear the people. They, and not the rich, are our dependence for continued freedom. And to preserve their independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debts, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessities and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our calling and our creeds, as the people of England are, our people, like them, must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses; and the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they now do, on oatmeal and potatoes; have no time to think, no means of calling the mismanagers to account; but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow suffers. Our land-holders, too, like theirs, retaining indeed the title and stewardship of estates called theirs but held really in trust for the treasury, must wander, like theirs, in foreign countries, and be contented with penury, obscurity, exile, and the glory of the nation. This example reads to us the salutary lesson, that private fortunes are destroyed by public as well as by private extravagances. And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for the second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of the society is reduced to mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering. Then begins, indeed, the bellum omnium in omnia, which some philosophers observing to be so general in this world, have mistaken for the natural, instead of the abusive state of man. And the fore horse on this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression."
Thomas Jefferson
Our Forefathers were smart, they saw all of this coming and warned against it over 200 years ago. Too bad Congress is repeating history.

I agree with all the rants previously stated, so I won't repeat them in my post.
I can't believe Congress is so short sighted. I guess it is election year. They are trying to entice people into spending money by giving them money. In the long run all this does is anger the wealthy, make both parties more polar, and create inflation. What they need to do is entice people, with tax incentives, to earn more money. Wasn’t there a book that said something about Giving a man a fish and teaching a man to fish.

You can't say this isn't going to help the wealthy. If the wealthy weren't going to benefit, this would never go through as 100% of politicians are wealthy. The market will go up while everyone gets new tats, extensions, and rims; and millions will be made on paper. It will hurt some of us in the long run, but not billionaire hedge fund managers and wealthy.http://www.wakeboatworld.com
