Damn it. I need to do this next year. I've been hassling my buddies to do this but all I've gotten out of them is a bunch of hymnin and hawin. Looks like a blast.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

It's definitely an amazing time, the race at Fernley was a full 24 hours, which was brutal. Most tracks don't allow you to race at night, so you race all day Saturday and Sunday. Building a car you end up spending quite a bit more on safety stuff, but after the car is built its really quite cheap to keep racing (and pretty addictive). I think you live around Reno, but you should make it out to the Infineon Race in Oct. They get close to 150 cars, and its by far the nicest and best spectator track around.

Ya, I've been out to RFR many times. It's about 35 min. from my house. It is super dark out there at night. It is one of the longest tracks (second longest I belive) in the country. I pass right by it every time I go to Lahontan. If I start now, maybe I can get a car together.

I've been to Sears Point (Infineon) many times as well. Wonderful track and a wonderful facility. If you need a driver, look no further. I race tracks, not other cars, I can cook, turn a wrench and sleep just about anywhere.
