Nice kubelwagen, I had a '79 westphalia camper bus as my first vehicle, drove that thing from virginia to utah for summer jobs 2 summers in a row with 4 bikes and 2 kayaks on the roof. It was a blast. I would love a clean thing someday, there are quite a few super clean ones around here in florida, the weather is conducive to clean vehicles, just murder on paint and interiors.
I have a friend that is just about done restoring a 1960 Porsche 356 convertible, it is funny how small those cars are, they look like a person could restore one in a month, but even as simple and small they take forever, and a lot of money, im sure the same as your VW

Very nice, I've paddled the New River right under that bridge quite a few times and the Gauley a couple times during dam releases. I used to live up near Washington, DC and Fayetteville was a pretty easy drive. Made it to bridge day once, but did not feel like jumping off of the perfectly good bridge at the time.
Hahahah. I have done the Gauley twice in a raft pretty big rush putting in when the damn is letting out. Come on out to z hills and jump out of a perfectly good airplane!!
