I have always been a Nissan fan. Used to have a 300zx that I loved. Have fun with that GT-R, sounds nuts.
My wife is pretty bummed I'm spending that much on a Nissan. She just doesn't get it. She thinks I'm too old to buy a video game car and asked why I don't by a Lamborghini Gallardo or something. She has no concept of money. Nissan builds great cars and the GT-R will crush just about any car under $500k.
Temporarily not a TO, but not gone forever... RID22 (Formerly K***k'n Futs!)
I just orderd a GT-R today! This is a symptom of playing video games my whole life. I've always wanted a GT-R. For those of you who are not familiar with this car, it's nuts. 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, 480 hp, all wheel drive.
That's going to be sweeeet! How much over sticker did they get you for? How long til it's here? That car is BAD AZZ! I'm not completely sold on the styling yet but once I see it a few more times in person I'm sure it will grow on me. I am sold on the performance though!!!
Congrats!

Sweeeeet GT-R. I've always been a Nissan Skyline fan from gran turismo games and from seeing them all the time while in Australia. tempted to import one even though they are right side steering. Congratulations on the new buy.

There should be a "Tige get together / Bring your bad A$$ Nissan" day somewhere in CO once you get that.

Timmy & Diesel Power,
I'll bring it to our Tige regatta if it's here by then. Anyone can drive it, if they are willing not to spazz. I'll definitely let Bill drive it if I get to drive his Porsche 930. This also means I'm not going to get a new tow vehicle, so everyone can make fun of me for pulling my boat with a Range Rover. I'm going to need help at the docs pulling my boat and Range Rover up the ramp
Tha bad new is that I had to pay $10k over, which came to about $87k with tax for a Nissan. What's even more said is I already got first right to the V-Spec version that will be coming out in a couple years. Stupid Gran Tourismo video game!!! My wife seriously wants me take the Nissan badges off it. Chicks!
Oh, I forgot. Does anyone want to by my 05 BMW 645i for about $49k? I have pics in this thread on one of the earlier pages.

Hmm... maybe you should tell her two GT-Rs cost as much as a Gallardo. Out of curiosity, are they (your dealer) holding close to retail or they pulling a Ford Shelby/ Chevy Z06 maneuver and charging 20-40k over MSRP due to demand? I've seen some ridiculous price gouging on the Ford GTs as well.
Really liking those lines on the GT-R... its what the "Z" should have been! I've been waiting for them to release a turbo version, but this more than compensates!

guess you answered my question as I was typing it! The force is strong with this one...
hey... I've got a K12rs, and LOVE it! Planning on trading or supplementing it with a K12s, or the new k1000s race bike (when it comes out). My dad and uncle both have K12s (dad has a GT and my uncle has an RS).
Checking out your GS- my cousin has a yellow one like that. I hear that they handle a lot like the RSs... since you have both, whats your opinion?

Well, they each have a mission. The more I ride the GS, the more I like it! I put 12K on it last year with various trips around the country and it's a very reliable and trusty stead. I like to be able to get off the road if you know what I mean, but its a bit heavy for anything technical.
My RS has 38K on her and it's hands down the best bike I ever owned ...Most of my friends upgraded to the "S", but I can still keep up with them in the twisties. Adding Ohlins to her last fall was the best single investment to date although the X50 radar detector sure has paid for itself time and time again.
Speaking of toys, has anyone driven the new Can AM Spyder? My husband was looking at one at the Nashville boat show on display, he shattered his hip a few years back in an auto accident and thought he might could ride one of these.
