Any Midwestern Tige Owners interested in a First Annual Reunion in 2009.
Okay First Decision is Let's go to Tablerock in 2009. The next think i need now is how many folks will be coming down.
I need a rough count to determine if the resort I have in mind would work.
Do you want a ritzy expensive resort like BIg Bear (a Bass Pro Shop Property at over 200 a night) or an older lake side resort that I hope to get current pictures of next week.
I'm thinking Days Inn @ $69.00 a night. If the bathroom is clean, sheets are clean, it's all the same when I lay my head down and close my eyes

How far from you are some of these possible locations? The reason I ask, I have family in Naperville, and would try to see the family and make the reunion.
TableRock and BlackOak resorts are right around 10 hours from the Chicago area depending how fast you tow. If you tow 60-65 in IL and 70-75 in Missouri and don't spend a lot of time at gas stops you can get it down to 9 hours but with traffic in St Louis 10 hours is a good estimate.
Both lakes have their advantages and disadvantages.
Table Rock- Pros- Slalom courses, Closer to night life,
cons- More populated
Bull Shoals-Pros-Less populated, Parks
Cons- Less night life
Night Life in Branson Missouri is a Comedy show or singing or some off vaudiville like acts. Summer is not the hot times for these shows but you can get tickets. In 14 years of going there with wife, kids and othe adult family My wife and I have never gone. It miust be the Jarhead mixed with the Redneck in me. There are go kart tracks, discount (haha) malls, miniture golf bungee cord and other activitees in Branson which is about 45 minutes away from Lakeside Resort.
We stayed here last summer and its nice! Its a little pricier but not as expensive as Big Bear. This place is big! It could easily accomodate all the midwest Tigeowners. And you pass Silver Dollar City on the way to the resort.
Table Rock fo sho. You can always find a sweet spot on trock, thats also tequila's home lake ??? I also know theres 2 or 3 slalom coruses for those slalomers too.
Thanks it is looking like TableRockResort at http://lakesideresort.net probably in Aug 09 due to July being a fully booked month normally. I talked to the resort owner tonight ans he will help see how we can pull it off. I will be meeting with him when I am down thee this August. See the web page for resort amenities. The Web Page does not reflect the re-painting and upgrade of cabins.
Tessa,
Count me in. Like I stated earlier. I have two trips this year in the plans for Table Rock. From where I live in Iowa it takes me right at 8 hrs. Not a bad drive.

As soon as I can I need to get an official count of people by family to see if we need more cabins so if you intend on coming send me your info. If you want to keep it private PM me for now. It is a 30 -45 minute ride into Branson if you are looking for other distractions etc. There are Tige Dealers about an 1.5 hour trip away. I'll get more info on that.
I'm with Chpthril, Days in at 69.99 sounds nothing short of glorious. I must warn that you can't count on it being clean. Last time I staid in one was in New Orleans. We had no windows and no hot water
