When are you heading to tablerock? we are going to be there the Week of 08/09 I do believe. Is trip #2. Since we are empty nesters a third trip may be in the works.

Looked at it today. Looks like an okay weekend lake but no where near on par with Bullshoals or Tablerock.

This lead to quetios. Are you all looking for bigClean Lakes that you may have to drive say up to 12 hours to or would you rather go to shallow muddy murky seaweed lakes typical of southern Wisconsin. Once you go to the southern ozarks nothing in southern Wisconsin compares.

Well our first trip will be in second or third week in June. We are finalizing plans this week on that trip. Then we like to go in july or Aug then if we can swing it one in mid to late sept to cap off the summer.

Doesn't sound like thhere is likely to be a unanimous concensus. Whomever is going to throw this thing together needs to just pick a lake and that's where it is. That or throw out a list to vote on for the folks who want to come.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I've always wanted to visit T-rock. Looks like about nine hours for us...not bad at all. We would sure try to get there. Even if it was in a different location a midwestern reunion is a great idea!

I will make a decision on the lake in the next day or so. Tige Owners who are interested in either BullShoals or TableRock Lake please send me a PM if you are interested in going and which Lake is your preference. The resort I reccomend on Bullshoals is BlackOak resort while the one on Table Rock is LakeSide Resort which has had a load of refurbishment over the last year and a half. I have described the upsides of both lakes. First of all TableRock you can walk down to your dock. IMO Bullshoals has nicer cabins but a restricted view of the lake and like most resorts you have to either drive down to the docks or take a long walk.

Both lakes are around 10 hours away from Chicago suburbs depending how long you take for gas stops and so on. We normally leave on Friday after 5 pm and stop in Rolla, MO and make the rest of the trip the next morning. That way we feel fresh on Saturday when we check in and can spend some time on the water on Saturday. On the way home we drive straight thru.

Please send me a PM where you would like to go and you resort preference by next Friday so I can ask questions of Tige and the local dealer and get some things going. Also suggest preferred dates in June,July, or August 2009.

                  Thanks.

If it's worth anything I vote for Table Rock.

Right now 2009 is wide open for us also. Maybe you should contact both resorts and see if either one of them is willing to work with us on possible discounts. They could be a deciding factor for some.

                              Just a thought.

Okay First Decision is Let's go to Tablerock in 2009. The next think i need now is how many folks will be coming down.

I need a rough count to determine if the resort I have in mind would work.
Do you want a ritzy expensive reort like BIg Bear (a Bass Pro Shope Property at over 200 a night) or an older lake side resort that I hope to get current pictures of next week.
