Nice sound system, and even nicer boat!

Lunchbox, I get that a lot. Mostly when people talk to me on the phone first.

Thanks, yeah. I was going to say this system will kill fish but probably wouldn't be to PC!

Tim, you have a very nice set up. I just wish I could afford to put your stuff on my boat. Right now I am putting all my extra money into things like board racks, cover repairs, and ballast system reapairs.

Some day I may get the Wet Sounds system.

Are those subs in the port storage just screwed right to the floor? I like the idea of that if so, very little install hassle. Building a box, cutting holes....too much work.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

            Jason,

The subs on the storage area are in a box. Just reverse mounted to show off the magnet. More for show than anything. Although when reverse mounting, you do not have to take into account the displacement of the magnet and frame. They are in a 1 cu ft sealed per 12 inch woofer. The XS-XXX woofers need an enclosure. 1 cu ft or a 1.4 ported.

ok then, you have your next "assignment"

No hassle sub install--like the tower speakers--bolt 'em on, wire 'em up, rock out

Thx, There are 3 subs total. The 2 subs under the passenger area are in 1 cu ft sealed each. The drivers side has a single one, it is in a large slot loaded ported enclosure. 1.3 cu ft.

For the subs I have 2 mono block Hertz HP1D amps. These are high end Italian amps. And put out tons of power. They will do 700x1 at 4 ohms, 1400x1 at 2 ohms and 2300x1 at 1 ohms. I am only running the single at 4 ohms right now so it is getting 700 watts. The other 2 are running at 2 ohms for them so 1400x1, 700 to each woofer.

I plan on taking the single one to 1 ohm, (now that CES is over!) and putting it to some abuse. We rate the new XS-XXX at 1000watts rms. So it will be getting 2300 watts. But as the system is now. The bass is un real! So it doesn't need any more power but what the heck.

I will tell you that if you go with one. Under the drivers footwell works the best. If you go with 2, you can run into some phase cancellation issues so placement of the 2nd one is critical.
