I was just wondering what people prefer to use when running their boat out of the water. Do most of you use a fake a lake, or have you plumbed in a fitting to hook directly to the hose? Also, are there other alternatives? I didn't know if there is anything that would screw directly into the water intake on the bottom of the boat.

I built my own rig to hook right up to the tranny. Pretty simple just a valve and reducers to get a garden hose hooked up. I hook direct to the tranny so it flushes my whole system. Also with the same valve I can hook a 5 gal buck when I winterize to run RV antifreeze through it.
That is my set up pretty simple but it works well. Also it only cost about 15 bucks to make.15 Escalade ESV-Black

R&T is correct, I was talking about the raw water pickup. I should have made that clear. Also R&T is correct about the fluid in the trans.
Just a side note and some please correct me if I am wrong. The trans should be a velvet and you should have a gear redction which I think is a walter after looking at the pdf it appears they are one and the same...my bad. I am also just learning the ins and outs of a inboard.
Here is a link the velvet drive info.

Not positive, but I think the DD use a reduction Trans (1.5 I think). I know my Ve used a 1:1 and I don't know about a V-drive ratio as the Walter does come in different ratios.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Plunger, 10 ft of hose with a female adapter at one end, and some sort of coupler that worked like a grommet for the hole I cut in the plunger and also allowed me to connect the hose to. This coupler involved me staring confused at hose parts in the garden section of Home Depot for at least 10 minutes till i finally decided on which piece would work.
