    17" Drop Ball Mount

In order for me to get my 07 20V in the garage after modifications to the trailer I need to have made a 2" ball mount that drops approximately 17".

My highest point on the trailer tower pivot when tower is down is currently 86 1/2 inches. The top sill of my garage is 82 1/2 inches. So in order to gain some room to manuever we are going to drop the ball about 17 inches which will hopefully drop the pivot point of the tower low enough to get the tower pivot lower than 82 1/2 inches.

The major problem is Drawtite, Resse only have ball mounts that drop down 11-13 inches which does not seem enough. We need to weld say an 11 inch and a 7" inch drop to do the trick with a 2 inch ball. Does any one know of somebody with welding skills who could pull this off economically?

The saga continues........ Any other ideas. It has to store in this garage because we cannot leave parked on drive or street due to city and association bylaws. Life does suck the big one.

Sounds like a job for a welding shop, especially if you are not planning on using it on the road. Should be able to get that done for cheap.

there is a store I can stop by my house and ask what they have. They have some trucks I can walk under without bending over and they all have drop hitches.

So you have contact info ? Please PM it to me. I am putting it in and out with a Jeep and I need to have the nose of the trailer lowered to get the pivot point of the waketower lower. Big PITA.

              Thanks much

Ryno can make you anything you want and also any drop. You can see the one I had made for my truck on our site under wet sounds gallery.

Not sure if this is what you are after but they are rock solid and look great.

Hey thanks. None of the trailer shops in my area go past 11 without welding which I can get done but i'd rather get one piece if possible. I'll check the info you gave me. Sure be great if I can get it off the shelf and get rid of this Pita.

Here is one, I have been looking to do the same thing, my tower is just a couple inches from clearing my wharehouse door. This one is Quick Release, and drops up to 14", prob easy to get something like this, and maybe modify.

I have seen the Ryno Hitch from Domsz06 but the place is worth checking for price and delivery time. I will call today.

Hopefully they willl be reasonable in cost.

                              Thanks for the help.
