    how much does the swimstep on an Rz4 weigh?

    Don't know I can pickup/move around, but cant remove from or reinstall in the brackets by myself.

      We'll I will have an Rz4 for this year and since everybody is saying the surf wake sucks and my boat doesnt have a trailer we're trying to figure out how to get it off.

        it comes off very easily. It has 2 pins with a latch mechanism on each one, you pull the pins and the platform comes off. Without the swimstep it's going to take some muscle to get back into the boat.

            You still don't have anything to step on, maybe the grab handle if you have it loaded down that far. Also, I guess theoretically you could open the rear storage bins and try and use that to pull yourself up. Any way you look at it, it's not going to be easy to get into the boat.

            The platform doesn't make the wave that bad to warrant all the extra effort in getting in/out of the boat IMO. We've figured out how to work around it and have a pretty decent wave in the RZ2.

                Just finding the right speed, taps setting and bag placement. In the last few weeks of the season we found that if you just ran all of your weight in the 1 corner it made an awesome wave and then I think our speed was like 10.2 taps on 6. We ran 2 full v-drive sacs (400+ each) in the locker for the side we were surfing on and it was absolutely beautiful. If you increase the speed to around 11 and bring the taps down to like 4 you get a shorter wave but a nice long pocket.

                I can't find any pictures with both sacs in the locker or else I would post them up for you.

                *you do still get a little of the interference line but it's not as bad.
