I like it. Looks great. what kind of load will it pull? One thing I really like is the front hinges are almost even with the windshield. With that tower my 20V would fit in my garage. For that matter so would the Z1 Let's do that experiment ASAP.

Lanny would you sponsor the test for field feedback. I'll lend you use of my Garage for the late spring to mid October

It looks solid and has a nice design.

            Me like!

It just needs to be as sturdy as the Tige tower is. I notice it looks an awful lot similar, but does not have the other crossmember. Put 60 pounds of speakers up there and drive it down the road at 75 MPH, and let's see how she rolls.

I'd like to see it with a nearly straight cross bar for mounting 4 speaker.

              It's a sweet looking prototype

Agreed. I have a hard time clamping speakers on the curved bar. They then look abnormal.

i agree the staight across bar would be a big plus. the over all look is good. what is the distance from the floor to were you hook the rope? looks high but maybe just hard to tell from the pic.

The height would be great for bimini clearance, but would be tuff for vertically challenged peeps

I was thinking it looks realy tall also. That's kinda bad around here since we have lots of low bridges and I'm not tall enough to ever worry about bumping my head on anything low

It looks good on the Z1. IMO it compliments the lines well.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Love it. I have one of Mike's towers on my '06. Looks great with very little flex. This new design would be a little busy for the soft curves of a 22Ve or 24Ve, but looks right at home on the Z1. One thing I really liked about his original design was the simplicity. That said, I store my 22Ve in my garage and break down the tower everytime. Due to clearance, I went with removable racks. This new design puts the rack lower when the tower is folded so my guess is it would clear without taking off the racks. That would be SWEET.
