When I went out with my Tige Salesman to test out the RZ2, he did a powerturn. That was a rush, I've done a couple of times myself since.

Who sold you your boat? I mean who was the saleman. If they are from Taylors I am sure they are good salesman. Taylor's boats has an outstanding sales team.

I had only had my boat for about 3 weeks when I went out with my buddy. He owns a Ski-Ray. He's also about 6'5" and 300#. He asked me how it handled power turns. "Dunno," I said "never tried it." A WHACK rang out across the lake. When I looked over, there sat my "buddy" at a 45 degree angle in my now broken seat. I almost cried...ok, maybe I shed just one tear. He jacked my seat up!! Ripped the bolts right out of the plastic base. I had to make new holes and get some beefy toggles to hold it.

        I don't power turn anymore.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

One of the problems with a Tige 20V if someone pulls a powerturn oe other fast turn their are no grab handles to grab On to making it all that more dangerous. I do not lnow if this is just a 20V issue or not. The boat really should have some grab handles not just those in the bow.

Yes, I love those guys. I have bought 2 boats from them. Too bad Taylor's Boat switch to Malibu.

I still take my boat to Taylors, for any service I have to do.

IMO, you wont need "grab handles", boats dont need to be driven this way, especially with passengers

You are right. The only time I see the need for a fast turn is to turn around and get to an injured skier especially if the are bleeding or not moving.

Gonna call a huge on that one. The boat handles phenomonally. Who buys a Corvette to drive it like a Pinto? I love to drive the boat crazy. We have a large river here with sharp turns that goes for miles. It's an incredible rush to blast through it!! Still no power turns though

The disclaimer: there is a time and a place, there is a way to enjoy the power and handling of the boat in a safe manner. Loaded with passengers on a busy lake is not the time or place. Also, I don't drink if I'm gonna drive like that.

Not sure what I did to get the card thrown at me Never said anything negative towards the handling or performance of any boat. I have no doubts about the capabilities of a Tige Owning a car that will pull 5 G's in a corner and run 140mph doesn't make it safe or legal to do Just because the Tige will pull of this stunt without flipping and sinking, doesn't make it safe to do, especially with passengers in the boat.

Jason, what's more confusing is that at the end of your statement, you agreed with me. Also, in an earlier post, you proved my point. It cost you a broken seat in a boat you had had for 3 weeks. You were very lucky that it did not cost you your friends life and your lively hood.

Not trying to start anything, but I think you need to reread your posts and mine, and edit your last one.

I still stand behind my statement.....boats do not need to driven this way. This my opinion, so it is neither right nor wrong.

                        Chp,
Don't take that as mean. I wasn't trying to be an A-hole. Sorry if it came off that way.
How I understood your comment was that the boats shouldn't be driven wildly. Which, for the most part I agree with. The kicker is the safety issue. I think it can be done under the right conditions. Safety, of course, is always #1. With anything we do (MX, Karts, BMX) there is an element of danger. I suppose that's exactly why it's fun

Furthermore, you're correct when you say "This my opinion, so it is neither right nor wrong." I wasn't trying to say you're wrong and I certainly believe you're entiltled to your own opinion...unless you want to vote for Hillary-in that case you're just wrong!

Lastly, my posts don't conflict themselves. The consistent theme is I like to drive nutty if I can do it in a reasonably safe manner. My buddy who broke my seat is a man-mountain, a huge dude. I think he would have broke the seat on the space shuttle Challenger if he did the same thing.

I don't think I'll be doing any power turns, with my luck, I'd probably send a passenger to the hospital. I'll save the power turns for my jet skis.
