    My 08 RZ4

I tried to post these in the gallery without success. They are to large. I am not computor savey enough to make them smaller. So I am attempting to post them here. It looks like it is going to work. We went with a classic look.

Is that navy or black? Looks like navy, like my Ve, and is very nice. I am thinking about an Rz4 in 09, when the surf issues are all done with.

          VERY nice!

Looks Navy Blue to me. But again, there have been times I thought something was red and it turned out to be dark orange.

Anyway, very nice boat but have to ask a question, with a $60K+ boat, you feel comfortable enough to park that baby on the shore?

I agree, my RZ will never touch the shore. Too nice to get scratches

It is navy and gray. It is touching the shore because the night before at about midnight we had a wind storm. I had it anchored out away from the shore ,but my anchor wouldnt hold. I had to gently bring it to shore to be able to secure it.

That explains it. Beaching is better than the alternative.

I am not sure what all the talk about the swim platform getting in the way of surfing is all about. We surfed and didn't notice a problem as depicted in the attached photo. My son and his friends also surf alot behind an x80 and they didn't complain about my wake. I am not an expert, but I have not experienced a problem.

Well, in your photo, the wake is washed out, because you don't have the boat listed over enough. The wave will define much better, and curl over clean when you list way over. When you do that on the Ve, its nice and clean. When you do that on an RZ, the step digs in the water, and screws up the wake.

DO you have ballast? I think the issue happens when you add weight and try to make the wake bigger.

I had the same issue on my when we added the fat sacks.
