      thanks lunchbox!

this happens a couple times a year, its amazing what these storms can do. tossed over a semi on I44. roof ripped off a school building north and west of me. My street is flooded, but I will take that over what other people are going through.

lol, this is all happening in the james river basin, so Table rock, Taneycomo, and Bull Shoals will be brimming full.

Typically even if the lakes are high at this time of year they let water down for power generation and to get to spring levels. I remember 5-6 years ago that Bullshoals was at flood level and ramps, marinas, and campgrounds where under water or way high.

We remeber swimming anchored off one of the campgrounds and standing on picnic tables

I glad to hear your ok and your family. We travel to Table Rock 3-4 times a year. I hope its more this year since I will have my own boat. We stay around the Reedspring or shell knob area. We may have to hook up when we are down next. Again glad to hear all is well.

Not fun! Hope everyone makes it ok. We had some storms hit us about 10 years ago, including the strongest tornado ever recorded. One of these babies tore up my neighborhood pretty good. Destroyed about 50 homes, picked up a steam train engine along with a few cars and some major trees. No one was killed in my neighborhood, but about 30 miles away, it wiped out an entire neighborhood...tore up the roads and pipes out of concrete foundation.

Turns out a few railroad cars got bumped off tracks, around 20 houses no longer there, lots of snowmobiles missing (wierd!), more damage to yards and property but NO deaths. You can replace "things."

Same storm hit us, no major damage. We were under Tornado watches and warnings but the only tornados that ever form are west, east, or in trailer parks.

Now that would totally suck. Hope everything is okay still.

The tornados killed 2, which is rather fortunate, because they say there might have been as many as 6 tornados touch down.

We are kind of at the end of tornado alley, and I've grown up with these storms, so they don't bother me much. Just a few years ago, 3 towns were completely wiped off the map!

Thanks everyone for your concerns, all is well with my family.
