    Binding Slime

Anyone using a binding slime pump dispenser? I'm tired of dish soap leaking all in my transom storage and I'm looking at getting one of those gallon jugs with the pump prayers. Mount the jug in the engine bay area and run the hose into the transom storage .

Anybody made one with a leftover bug spray/weed killer sprayers. I wonder if the Slime is thin enough to be pulled up through one of these

Just curious if this would work?

I used to have a small bottle that I used... It was lost with my wallet, car keys, and oh yeah... my boat... But it's definitely thin enough... I suppose it all depends on the "brand" of slime though as they're all probably slightly different consistency...

Maybe I'll go get a 1pt bottle and see if it works, If it does, I can order the 1gal jug and us it to refill one that it I will mounted along the transom. If it dont work, Ill order the 1gal with sprayer.

My family uses slime all the time. It is easer for me to use that with the kids. I just use the quart bottle. I would like to go with the sprayer. I will get the sprayer this summer for the new boat.

I just have a smal kitchen soap, the slime stuff is expensive and does not work as well.

What brands have you used with less then good result?

Soap is great, but will wash out the natural oils in the bindings and they will dry out and crack .

I bought one from the Tige Dealer, I have a very tight biding that if it is not lubed correcly it does not go in. I always had to use alot of their stuff to make it go in. Soap always worked.

Moose juice is real thin, and I don't think it works very well. Some of the others work great. That being said, there's nothing quite like dish soap. I know it's hard on the bindings, but I can't get the rear binding for my slalom ski on without it.

My wife used to work for Johnson & Johnson so we could buy KY Jelly from the company store for something stupid like 30 cents a tube so we loaded up on it before she left the comapny. It works great! I probably have about three more years worth of supply(provided it's not used for anything else, wink). Some the the slime brands can be diluted with water if you want to make them a little more viscous if you want to run a long tube from a permanent attachment to you're boat(which is what I think you guys are talking about). My uncle has this kind of set up in his boat, with about a three foot section of tubing, but I'm not sure what slime he uses. His setup works great too
