As for the issues, keep in mind that these boats are not cars. It's hard to get the process reliability down to that level if you don't build that many to begin with.

TexasTige, whatever you guys had set up at INT this year was very popular with the riders. They liked your RZ2 better than the TSR X-Star.
hmm... if thats the case, I just might have to start looking at the RZ4 instead of the 24vé. I'll have to wait and see though. I'm still kind of partial to the lines on the vé. Either of those boats loaded down will throw a killer swell behind them- be it wakeboarding or wake surfing. Honestly, I'm doing more wakeskating than boarding lately.... dont think I even put on a pair of bindings last year. Theres just something about grabbing your board, vest and jumping in the water w/o all the foreplay of putting bindings on.

There is in my opinion one other part to the equation of wake surfing. Im 220lbs and surf behind my 20i with no problem , however I use a 6.8 long board , my sons 145lbs and uses a 5.8 , if you wake isnt as big you want, or your a big person you need more surface area. I know you can do more tricks with the smaller board , it just depends at what skill level of rider.

I use a CWB Ride, and I'm 5'9", 220-lbs. The board is about 5'4"-5'6" and I dont have any problem when my 22v is weighed down properly. I also ride with the center fin only. I wouldnt want to go any longer on the board because my transom gets scratched up as it is. Besides, the shorter board is more flickable.

TO fix the RZ2 surf wake problem, they would just need to make the platform slightly more narrow, raise it up a couple of inches, and cut off the corner. They could do some combination of those three things and make it work. I wouldn't have a problem with any or all of those changes on my new RZ, as long as it improves the surf wake.

I think that the only problem with having the platform higher up the transom is that it might be harder to climb onto it when the boat is unweighted. That might be a problem for smaller kids or those who are physically challenged.
          Be excellent to one another.

Or fat people. ;-) I think I would have ballast loaded in my boat, even if not wakeboarding or surfing, just so I can get in easy! I feel like shamu when I roll on that sucker, I expect to look up and see a few japanese tourists taking pictures.

I think if they used the shaped it like the ve series, it'd be fine. Speaking of which, has anyone noticed that the 07 and 08s have shorter platforms on the ve series?

I thought about seeing if I could try out a platform from a Ve but if you see a Ve and an RZ side-by-side, that platform would just look terrible on the boat, IMO anyway.
