If you don't like the unweighted wake of a Tige, and feel that adding xtra weight will help you have a better time on the water and help you and your family SHRED YOUR FACES OFF HARDER, then add some weight. Just have fun and enjoy the FINEST built inboard boat on the water. AMEN.
I dont know about the finest.......there are some issues here and there with the boat, love them to death, and doubt I would buy another brand, but theres def issues that have to be worked out.

What are the issues you are talking about?

One is wakesurfing and the swimplatform on the RZ2's and 4's from what I understand. However, there is a prototype that Wetsounds1 is testing for Tige.

yeah- the square corners of the platform cut into the surf wake.

I heard that's getting fixed for both the RZ2 and RZ4.

As for the issues, keep in mind that these boats are not cars. It's hard to get the process reliability down to that level if you don't build that many to begin with.

TexasTige, whatever you guys had set up at INT this year was very popular with the riders. They liked your RZ2 better than the TSR X-Star.

Seeing as that I am a wake board rookie I am more interested in casual slalom skiing at my age but I want enough wake that if my kids or their friends want to wake board I can give them a wake they can play on a part time wake. On our 20V the only thing I can see we would need to up the wake for is wakesurfing which looks awesome and I hope to try this year. For my airfoiling daughter, sister and brother in law the larger wake helps thme get air on the Sky Ski hydrofoil so I don't forsee for my use to go crazy with ballasts

Yeah, it is GOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!! We see that alot, when people actually give the boat a chance. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'll put it up against anyone's boat. That was D. Welch's '07 model. He and his family have been very happy with the set-up and the boat. It is one of my "Promo Boats" and is for sell.

As far as the set-up at INT, it was stock + 600# in the walkway(pulled back a little to the driver). TAPS on ~3-4 = Money in the bank, shorty wat cha thank??? We weight the RZ2 a bit different when free riding (loaded down).

This summer was my first time ever wakeboarding. The wake is fine as is- I have no ballast. I can foresee outgrowing the wake in a while, but for a once-in-a-while rider you will have no worries with your stock wake. IMHO, it's almost better to have a small wake to learn on for obvious reasons.

If you're surfing then you'll need ballast 100% for sure. I don't think I could ever surf behind my boat. I can't imagine our hulls are too different, yours is a lot easier to see though with those colors
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Gotta love that candy corn colored boat. For Ballast I was just going to load the floor with my herd of dogs. 2(90lb) Choco Labs, 1 (128 lbs) Choco Lab, 1 (90 lb) Aussie Shepard and our heavy weight 8 lbs Dachsund for about 400 lbs of ballast

Lanny owens who is the Midwest Tige sales VP will be at Milwaukee show on 24th. I may defer until then.

We had a 06 22v and surfed behind it just fine. Our new 24Ve has ballast and is nicer, but I can still surf w/o weight.

We can surf behind our RZ2 without weight as well, just not as easy to do as it is with ballast. The swim platform does cut into the surf wave but we still get a pretty decent wave out of it. I think this year we may get another pair of vdrive sacs or possibly order an Enzo sack.

Are they helping existing onwer fix the design flaw?

What are they doing to solve the problem of the swim platform cutting into the wake?

Brandon, what is your weight setup, TAPS and speed when free riding? Id like to know where the weight is placed.

Oh and is there any truth to that rumor about the platform? It does affect the wake however I rarely surf but it would be nice for it to be clean.

                              Thanks.

It is definably the right thing to do, but unfortunally I don't think we will get one.
