    Bimini vs. Tower

I am glad we have this site to talk about related items that most of us have questions and we can get input from others with more experience.

Here is another question I have:

My new RZ2's Bimini rub against the tower when driving, does anyone else have the same problem? If so, do you guys have a solution for it?

My tower already got a few scratches from the Bimini poles. I thought about putting some kind of robber spacer to prevent that from happening.

No-one encounter this issue? It must be only my RZ2 that the Bimini was not installed correctly.

Patience my friend... Sometimes it take more than 2 hours for people to reply on this board... You will get a response, just keep checking back...

You might want to try and locate some self adhesive rubber pads to place on the tower to prevent scratches.

        Home Depot or Lowe's, perhaps?

        Ambivalent? Yes. Or Not.

Yes, most people get on at work so posting on weekdays yields a quicker response.

We found re-adjusting the tension straps thus slightly re-positioned the Bimini and cure'd the problem for us.

If it didn't do the trick, we were prepaired to have the bimini shop re-fit to slightly narrower top.

I actually went to get my boat yesterday out of the dealer and the binimi was left put on during a snow storm and all the bars bent. They are replacing the entire binimi, I hope the new one will work better.

That sucks but it looks like it going work out for the better.

The bimini was actually ripped when I first got the boat. I took it in for then to fix a few warranty issues, the bimini was one of them.

They put it up to see how it looked and forgot to remove it before the snow storm.

They were so nice that they even detailed my boat. Well it was there to fix the warranty issues since the end of September.

I had it happen also. Just take your time and maybe put some padding between the tower/upright and bimini.

I have the same thing happening to mine and haven't tried anything yet. I guess it hasn't bothered me too much. Although it sounds like some of the guys on here have a few solutions. I would be curious to know what you end up doing.

Like rensink said, just take your time and be careful that is what i try to do.

I was at the dealership yesterday and asked about it. They said that almost everybody has that problem on the RZ2. Some of the customers put a thick Velcro to separate the tower and the Bimini
