We are looking for a good installation shop in the Thousand Oaks,CA area...does anyone have any suggestions? Our son is sponsered by Kicker Car Audio, so we have all the equipment, just need an install. Thanks

Sorry Im not replying to your post, but what is your son sponsered for (wake, snow, etc.)...? But trying to help you out the most I can, any Car Audio place could do it. You could probably find an ad for one in the newspaper or yellow pages or something.

I am in need of Kicker equipment. Let me know when he is done with it. Kicker should recommend one of their Authorized dealers in the area to do it. I know of a good shop that does excellent installs and have seen boats in there all the time however its a bit far from you since its in the Inland Empire. Good luck with the search and show us pics of the setup.

Simi Stereo in Simi,, or wired for sound in the 909.

I suggest Wired For Sound. They are the last and first word in Boat sound system installation.

ONE MORE THING!!! Well I really want to do this right the first time so I am looking at some high end equipment for my install...

for the cd player I was looking at Rockford Fosgates new faceplate that comes with all the bells and whistles! plus the remote that I can mount to the back by my swimstep....

I'm just looking around for another cd plaey that also comes with the remote for the back.....or is adaptable to that remote.....

So i anyone knows can u hook me with a link to a cd player that comes with that remote or is adaptable? That would help A lot!

              Thanks for everything so far.

                Havasu -

Look up on E bay for the sony cdx-MP-70. It is being phased out, for autos, but it is a great unit for boats. It has about the best shock protection available for a CD head unit. It also plays CD-rw, CD r and MP3's which mean about 400 songs on 1 disc. This also works with the Sony waterproof remote which is great on the stern, when you are floating on the river and don't want to climb into the boat to change disks or songs.
