It's silver, does that help? Seriously I have no idea what model it is. It was an impulse buy...one of those "we're on vacation, $ means nothing" type things. No, I was not smoking weed at the time either LOL we were there for 5 days enroute to adopting our son so I had to be "adultlike" lest I got into trouble and blew the adoption process.

I did get a good price on it, about 1/2 what they sold for here.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

        the rest of my stuff:

Among other things, our kids got Rock Band and they are killing songs in hard and expert mode that I can barely do in easy mode. But all of my kids are taking some kind of music lessons. Son - Guitar, Son 2 - Drums, Daughter - piano. It's a fun game, very addictive.

I test drove the S5, it was a little slow - but it looks really cool in person. If you have the patience and money, wait for the RS5!

It's a Sonic Impact iPod Video player and I really like it. It has awesome speakers and long battery life. I have loaded about 15 movies on my iPod and still have room for tons more. I got it for me and one of my sons off of www.Woot.com for $50 when TeamAllen posted it on this site.

I got my other son who doesn't have a video iPod, a Panasonic portable DVD player and it much better than the cheaper brands out there in picture quality.

What iPod do you have? I'm asking because I found this on the Sonic Impact site:

Special Note: Using iPod Classic / Nano 3G with Video 55

Due to a recent change in Apple iTunes software, the Nano 3G and the iPod Classic will no longer broadcast a video signal to the Video 55 when docked in the docking connector.

With Apple’s software change, the only way to view video on any existing video player, including the Video 55, is to purchase Apple’s iPod Composite Video Cable, available at Apple retail stores and Apple online at: http://store.apple.com

The cable would be used by plugging one end into the 30-pin plug on the iPod or Nano and the other end into the “AV In” plug on the side of the Video 55.

Please note that this software change by Apple does not affect the ability to play music from the iPod or Nano through the Video 55 speakers. Previous versions of the iPod are not affected by this change. All previous versions that have video capability can play video through the Video 55 when docked.

I think that I have the same one that you do, I have the 80 GB iPod 5G and it runs with no problems.

Yeah, those are Apache Recons. I've skied on the Volkl's but not the Atomics, but I have heard good things about them. I have always skied K2s for the most part and I know the K2 ski rep in our area. But all of the high end skis are very nice and the key is getting a good deal like you did. We've had some good storms lately and was skiing in a 1 -1/2 feet of powder at Sundance on New Years Day. I went to Park City yesterday and the snow was hard packed and sparse. We are expecting a big storm on Saturday, the same one that is pounding California, so we should get some more good snow soon.
