6 will be enough for inside the boat... outside you need tower speakers... ask philwsailz or spharis about the amps... they'll tell you more than you'll ever want to know...

6 is the norm for a Tige. It's even pre-wired for the speakers, if you can find the ends

I can Deffinitly say the W/S are sweet........but cant say I could tell a real diff between the 20v I did the install on and my 22Ve with Kicker speakers. Both have 6 cabins, same Kicker ZX700.5, 10" sub.

If you go with speakers with good, sound construction, and power them with a quality amp that will best meet thier needs, and I bet you will have good clean sound. Volume is like horsepower, it costs $$$

w/s only makes one in boat speaker the xs650. they go for $199/pair. I'm running 2 Rockford fosgate amps... I can't remember which models they are off the top of my head, but they're nothing special... just entry level, clean power.

check out the w/s website for details www.wetsounds.com

Also not that it makes too much difference but the wetsounds are marine grade audio products whereas the polks are not specifically made to get wet... but most people don't have a problem with that...

Good alternates to the the $199 a pair the polks are. If you can find some DB650's then they are even better priced and almost identical. Another good choice is the Rockford Fosgate Power T162c coaxials. I have those and they kick butt and are marine grade as well, in fact Malibu uses them in all their boats. I'm running them at 100w and they sound super clean. Can be had all over ebay for around $50-75 a pair.

Not slamming the wetsounds because I know they are tried and true as well as a good product, but I would pick the Polks over them even if they were both free.

Who can argue with non-retail prcing.

JL audio makes nice speakers as well but a bit spendy.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I should be careful whenever I disagree with Spharis about any audio stuff...but here goes. I have the DB650, essentially the same speaker as the 651. They are terrific speakers and for the price, you cannot go wrong. No one complains about my interior speakers. I do notice a different fullness of sound when I hear the wetsounds, or when I hear a more expensive speaker.

I wonder if Spharis is thinking of the nicer Polks, like the MM6500? Those are the component speakers and usually run high 100's per pair. THOSE are very very nice sounding speakers. Nautique has used those as their stock speaker.
                              Be excellent to one another.
