Ok, with some help from Xp, my original calcs were dead on.

So, if we integrate the port and starboard sacs i've measured out so far, we will have a bag that specs out right @ 1k. Though it wont fill completely in either side, it will be at least 900#'s for each side.

    Leg: 59"L x 20"W x 12"H
    Main body: 31"L x 20"W x 22"H

we should just fill the boat with water......

but I heard that causes some problems tho we should ask LB

That would put you around 1300#'s, but........

Those with factory ballast would either need to make the main body shorter to accommodate for the battery and TAPS box being in the storage, or get real exotic and go with a stair-step shape bag to work around those boxes.

I think Tige uses the same sac in the RZ's as the Ve's, which I think is smaller then the Fly-High Bow sac. As cheap as the stock fly-hi is, im not sure a custom would be hold too much more V's the cost of doing it as a custom

i dont have factory ballast, if i put that in, i would rewire the batteries to under the storage as right now wth all the amps i cant use it anyway for boards.....im working on new racks for the rz tower so my boat has racks for 12-15 boards

What do you run in the bow right now?

With that many boards (12-15) you should have enough "people ballast" on there already. You having a garage sale while you're riding or what?
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I create a little app to calculate the area and volume given the 3 dimentions (H, W, L).

Perhaps this will help some of the calculations.

just an older 750 through the bow walkway, or if I have lots of peple the 55 gallon cooler filled up in the bow walkway.

and for surfing you can never have enough people ballast! (now if i could actually wakeboard decently!) haha

Any news on the measurement of the RZ2? Anyone?

I thought that the battery placement is a serious afterthought on Tige's factory ballast and really needs some intelligent engineering. It would likely be fine to put them up in the amp compartment, at least I think that might be what I would do.

What part of the TAPS is in the battery box?
