Domsz, what kind of pumps are you running? Also, how scary is it to drill a hull through your hull? I'm worried about doing that

J/k. Just make sure you drill the correct size hole (just cuz the fitting says x", dont take it for granted, double check before you drill). Measure carefully. You dont want to drill into the stringers or somewhere that you cant access the top of the fitting, nor do you want it to end up under a trailer bunk either. When you think you found the right spot, drill a very small pilot hole to see exactly where things will end up. A 1/16 hole is easier to fill then a 2"
Other then that, use the normal precautions when drilling gel-coat. Tape off area to help prevent chipping, drill slow, drill in reverse til through the gel-coat, bevel edge to prevent future spider cracks, and a good bead of 5200 sealer (enough to ooze out when fitting is installed, but more is not better)Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

You got me confused. How does the bilge style pump with an auto on and off feature help you when filling or emptying ballast?Be excellent to one another.

I guess I want to make sure it will be worth it to add ballast myself.
