I wish people knew more about it, I doubt I'll go with the Z1, I'd wait and let them get some of the flaws worked out before gettin ghe frist one. I read you could get one fully loaded with ballast and wetsounds and all the fix'ins for under 40K, but I like the 22Ve' but it seems massive,a little too big. Wish they made a 20Ve'. So I need some help deciding betwee a 20V amd 22Ve'. What are the differances? Any big differeacne in wakes, did they not run both of them in the tige' Pro Ams? Anybody got some pictures of their boats so that I can get an idea for a color way.
What would you like to know about the Z1?

As mentioned by another member, I had the opportunity to have some time in one in Oct. Shoot your questions, if you have any and I will try my best to answer based on on what I saw/ felt ect ect...

I have also owned a 2007 22Ve, the boat I owned before was a Maxum 1800 ( 18 footer) so going to a 22 foot boat was a big step, but one that is not scary. In fact, I think the bigger the boat the easier is to maneuver, I can spin a 22VE on a dime if I wanted. I have way more control on it then I did on my 18 footer.

      Ks,
What kind of tower is the on your 22ve'?

On the Z1, What would you say the wake would be comparable to? Can you order it with ballast? Are they going to upgrade from the Bayliner glover boxes? How much smaller would you say the the inside space would be to a 22Ve' or a 20V?

Very nice looking set up KS. I love the lake scenery you have also. The pines and mountains really make it that much more enjoyable.

My dealer does not use the Tige towers. He uses the Samson towers. They are really nice

I drove the Z1 with only my wife and myself and with only about 1/4 tank of fuel and no gear. When I test boats in this state ( MC, BU Tige anything) I look for the overall shape of the wake and how clean it is, Weight increases the height of the wake and speed increases how clean it is for the most part.

I was very impressed with the Z1 in the above conditions. The wake had a nice shape to it and was clean. Add weight and I think you will have a killer wake/wave for a 21 foot boat.

The boat I drove was a early one and since then, Tige has said they will upgrade the plastic pods to look better. I am not sure when that change takes place. but it will.

That was the only beef I had with the boat. I quite like the 100 inch beam ( VE is 102) and the overall handling of the boat was awesome!

I would say the room is all about the same, in the 20V and the 22V you seem to get the extra room in the bow compared to the Z1. With the 20V less in the main area compared to the 22 Storage in the Z1 was great!

How tall are you? the Z1 is a bit tight for tall guys ( Im 6.4) The Z1 really feels like a BU in the drivers position.

It would be tough for me to decide between the a fully loaded 22VE and an fully loaded Z1. I think I would take the 22VE for the LCD dash and the extra foot but it would also come down to the money.

My VE was a fully loaded except for the ballast and the underwater light, both of which I have on my 08 RZ2. So it you have the coin, do it right and get a fully loaded boat.

There would be a big price diference in the 22Ve' and the Z1 both fully loaded. Have you had any Problems with your stock ballast or would we be better off with sacs and plumbing them later on.

Oh and 6'2", Do you mean that the tower is low? Or its just plain crampted? Dose the drivers seat slide back or swivel? If you order a Bimini top is, it low enough where I would have to duck under neith it?

I'm more or less leaning more twords a 22 now, What would be some ideal options? anybody have those under water lights? Those look neat. Docking lights, Shark eyebow lights, I prefer teak platforms, Z or E towers, Everones holding up ok? Any body got the shakes and rattles? Chances are there is alway going to 4+boards and I may put a speaker box set up their. Will I need the optional extra tie dow cleats? Were porbably also going to go with the bow filler and table, 340hp Gm Vortec
Here is a pic of our 24ve. I would suggest going with the bigger of the boats you ar considering. Most people that have regrets after buying a boat regret not getting a larger one

My Stock ballast is in my 08 boat which I managed to only put 7 hours on in late Sept. In the 7 so far, no issues. I like the internal ballast as I did not want to put holes in the boat without factory backing there work. Just thinking re sale.

@ 6'2" you will be fine for tower height. In the Z1 the cockpit is a bit lower then the other Tige models, so it feels like your sitting in a BU. The best way for me to compare it would be sitting in a VW compared to a Honda. I always seemed to have more leg room and a more comfortable position in the VW's

Yes the seat does slide back and speaking of chair, make sure you upgrade to the Vision Air seat.... so much nicer!

Here is a Pic of my 20V. Trailer is being changed out to a custom Black with White pin stripes and foldable tonque so it will fit in 21 ft deep garage and a 82 1/2" high opening. (may need to change to a drop down hitch to get it in)
Did you get your 20V from Reed's Marine in Delavan?

This will be a large upgrade. We currently own about an 18 foot V-drive.

Has anyone had any problems with their towers?

I say see them for your self, test drive them and whatever fits your $$$. We'd all love to know more about the Z1.

Defenantly get the under water transom light.

We up graded from an 18' runabout to the 24ve and found that it was just as easy to launc and recover as the old one. Only thing that took a little getting used to was the lack of steering when in reverse. That took about 20 min to get used to.
Our tower is rock solid. The bimini rattled a bit until I added some plastic washers, now there are no rattles even on rough water.
