    Searching for the right one.

Ok, So I've done alot of shopping over about 2 years, Bayliners, Sea Rays all over the runabout boats, an i decided scince that is all we do now is board, and occasionally ski and tube. That We going to go with a watersport spefic boat. I've been to MC, they cost too much and are not as versital unless you go X-15 and then your looking at 85K Been to nautique, Moomba, and supra, Malibu and a few smaller Co's. and decided on a tige' for their versitility and price.

I've decided on a Tige', We usually only have about 6-8 people out and possiably a dog, Were looking for a versital boat DD or V. 22foot at most. I'm not a big fan of the vesrt transom, I'm liking the "i" line and the "Ve'". Has anyone heard of the Z1, Any body have one and be willing to tell me some info on it? I want to know what you would reccomend for a boat with mostly just famioly and friends who like to go out and have a good time all day, and kick back at night on the water. So some featrues that are you favorite and why. Were also looking a boat to throw a big wake for boarding and surfing.
Were probably going to get the ballast system, Can you get a larger system with 2,000lbs, are the good ballast systems? Please post some Pictures of you wake and tell weather how many people and ballast(lbs) are in the boat and what line of boat it is, year would be nice too. Any Pictures of you boat layout or just out on the water would be great?

Last Question, How are the built in coolers, are the functional? Do the seal up good? We'll be out from about Noon til 1 or 2am with a boat load of people, Will the coolers hold the beer, soda and lunch, Well eat dinner at a local on water saloon

    Jay.

None of us have much experience with the Z1 since it was just introduced. Lots of us have been out on the 22Ve. the Z1 looks like it's going to be similar to the old 21v.

    Best Features:
    1. Storage - more storage on Tige than virtually all other boats...when you're out all day you need storage so you're not tripping over your stuff
    2. Ride - best riding wake specific boat out there, heavier than most due to impressive hull construction
    3. Convex V Hull w/ TAPS - more than just a wake plate...works together with the convex hull to dramatically alter wake shape
    4. Great surf wake - you will be the envy of your friends
    5. Great owners board - there are some very knowledgeable folks out here who can help

BTW, my cooler will still have ice cubes in on 100 degree days the next day, so yes, it keeps your drinks cold.

Any tige you choose will probably be more than acceptable to you. Find a dealer close to you and test drive them all. Things to think about are: What are you towing it with? Do you have size restrictions on storage? What water sports are you into? A V-drive will typically give you a better "wakeboard wake", where as the I-drive or Direct drive is typically more suited to skiing. If it's more a social scene for you then a V-drive might work better for you as the engine is not sitting in the middle of the boat and it makes it that much easier to move around the boat. With 6-8 people with you all the time then, you probably want to be in the 22Ve, 24ve, RZ2, or RZ4 so that you have enough room after everyone loads their gear and stuff on. Price is the other factor. In the end it can come down to how much do you want to spend. The possiblilities are endless. As you will hear from other guys on here, whatever Tige you go with, chances are you will be very happy. They really don't make any bad boats. Good luck with your purchase!

Price isn't really a matter, I cannot go witha 24 foot boat, 22 at the most.

        Dogbart,
Dose you cooler have plently of room to be out all day?

        Maximus2003,
Were towing with a '05 GMC 2500HD with a duramax. no size restrictions, Boarding and surfing, Not a whole lot of skiing, the drunks like the tube.

I'd like to also see pictures for choices on color combo so any of the would be great as well as wake pictures. A big wake is for sure what were looking for, somewhere between knee and waist high for boarding.

Go to the Tige website, there you can build your boat and get a general idea what the colors will look like together. Surf this site, and you can see a lot of pics. The guys in this site live off of pictures. Dogbert and I have the same boat, and the cooler is not real big. Plenty big for me but we have a lake house we go back to for refills. Just kind of depends on how thirsty the crew is, but I can't imagine it being big enough for 6 people for that long on the water. Drive a Tige, you will love it. The test drive sold us and we have never regretted our purchase for a moment. Good luck!

We are going into the 3rd season with our 0622Ve and still love.

The 22 seemed to be a great fit for us. Rated for 14 people and fell just under my tow rating so no need to upgrade truck. Great ride, great handling, awesome power (340hp), incredible storage, very roomy. Not uncommon to have our son and 7-8 of his friends. With a Tige, you wont come off a long day on the water feeling beat up.

Don't know much about the Z1 yet but I'm really looking for good things out of it based on everyone from my dealer, and Rep, that had a chance to look/drive/ride the Z1 at the dealer meeting this fall. I think it was Ks that had a chance to demo one at his dealer??? http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5511

We usually get 2 days out of a bag of ice in the cooler. Freshen it up with half a bag on the 2nd day at most. Get the optional table and bow wind screen.

The 900#'s factory ballast will get you a great boarding wake, and even better with more weight.
            2 in boat
            Speed -21
            TAPS - 5-6
Rear ballast - 400# in each locker, 400# in floor, 700# in bow walkway

Surfing, you will need a little more weight. The 22Ve builds a good wake with just our 700#er filled in the rear locker. We usually run the fallowing unless the have a boat load of peeps. The pic below was from Monday

            3 in boat
            Speed - 10.5
            TAPS - 3-4
Ballast - 700# in port locker, 400# in floor. (no stock ballast, but installing custom system after first of year)

Without question go with the 22VE. You will not find a nicer layout and feel.

If you like the cutting edge look, then the RZ2 should top your list, it's basially the same hull as the 22VE with a slightly different transon and ofcourse the pickle fork front end.

Ok, So I've spent hours on the Tige' colorway thing last night and stilll i have come up with nothing I like. So I knid of like the 20V minus the vert transom, the 22Ve' and the Z1. I wish people knew more about it, I doubt I'll go with the Z1, I'd wait and let them get some of the flaws worked out before gettin ghe frist one. I read you could get one fully loaded with ballast and wetsounds and all the fix'ins for under 40K, but I like the 22Ve' but it seems massive,a little too big. Wish they made a 20Ve'. So I need some help deciding betwee a 20V amd 22Ve'. What are the differances? Any big differeacne in wakes, did they not run both of them in the tige' Pro Ams? Anybody got some pictures of their boats so that I can get an idea for a color way.

Will Tige' cut speaker holes if someone wanted to install their own stero?

                      I'm sure they would

Here is a Pic of my 20V. Trailer is being changed out to a custom Black with White pin stripes and foldable tonque so it will fit in 21 ft deep garage and a 82 1/2" high opening. (may need to change to a drop down hitch to get it in)

They all seem massive until you get 7 or 8 people and all their stuff in the boat for an all day trip. Then they don't seem quite so massive. We all wish we knew more about the Z1, but we have heard great things already. Go with the 22, you will wish you had unless parking space is an issue.

This is a nice looking color combo, Dose anyone have any good black and white color combos they've seen or have I found a nice looking colorway on Tige's site this morning.

I'm more or less leaning more twords a 22 now, What would be some ideal options? anybody have those under water lights? Those look neat. Docking lights, Shark eyebow lights, I prefer teak platforms, Z or E towers, Everones holding up ok? Any body got the shakes and rattles? Chances are there is alway going to 4+boards and I may put a speaker box set up their. Will I need the optional extra tie dow cleats? Were porbably also going to go with the bow filler and table, 340hp Gm Vortec
