Usually can pick one up at a medical supply store, or a physical rehabilitation supply house. Ask for a hinged knee brace or support.

That picture you attached, is from this website:

Why would you post a picture from a place that tells you where to get them?

Due to years of playing goal in hockey and dirtbiking plus a couple of knee surgeries, I know how important it is to protect your knees. You can usually get really good knee braces at dirt biking stores as a lot of those guys wear them.I personally dont wear any.It is a good idea to strengthen the area with weight training.

Dont' even bother with any of those. If you have insurance go straight to the ortho doc and tell him you want an RX for CTI2 knee braces bilaterally for instability or whatever problem you have. They are custom made to your leg and will last forever--nothing is more comfortable to ride with--I've tried them all. You will have to check your insurance coverage for durable medical equipment, but normally there is no problem. Best of all, you pay your portion based on your coverage and insurance pays the rest. Mine cost me $300 out of pocket.

I was going to say the exact same thing.

Also, re: his age... There's a 15 year old guy around here that broke his femur, after landing an invert. This sport is really hard on your legs & knees!

try the DON JOY 3 knee brace.. leave the cti alone unless you want them remove from inside your leg with surgery.. they have broke many times and went into peoples legs. i know a few of them. of course i am talking about motocross

I have been riding for 10+ years and many of my personal friends are professional MX riders whose names you would know. I've never heard of anything like that happening at all. I've heard of them breaking, but come on, everything breaks under the right conditions.
I'm not calling you a liar...it may have happened at some point. I think it's definitely a worthwhile risk to take by wearing them. Sure, you could get plowed over by a semi truck on your way to work, but that doesn't keep you from driving.

In my opinion the Don Joy braces would be more likely to break becasue they seem much more fragile and thin. I have no experience wearing them so this is just from visual observations....I could be incorrect.
