Okay, we got six inches of snow on the I-5 grapevine here in CA last night they had the whole freeway closed down for ten hours. That is about 3500 feet. More snow and rain please.

Lake Powell Snowpack is currently listed as 101% of the average. We have gotten so used to the drought, that we have lost perspective of what it usually is like.
If I recall right, the big snow month is February around here, so I am not too excited yet. Then it matters how it melts, if it is too slow, then it just evaporates or sinks into the ground instead of going down the river.Be excellent to one another.Comment

Keep saying prayers they are working. My youngest son ask for rain and snow every night and says thank for what we have received already. I am going to tell him that Utah is SUPPOSEDLY over 100% this year. I kinda have to agree with Tall I think they have lost perspective of what a good snow year is.Comment

DUDE! My lake is going to fill up this season! I hope so, it seems like we are getting tons of rain and snow. It has been raining well for the last couple weeks, and snowing off and on. I am only at 2600FT and here is what it looks like when I spin around in my desk chair and look outside.
The snow isn't coming through too well, but its been falling hard for a couple of hours now. The kids are going outside to start sledding. I told them I would take them up the mountain a bit more today, to sled, but NO NEED! It looks like on my lawn, but thats because of huge tree cover.

OMG, it got to be cold there however it is awesome that the lakes will fill up since they are dumping a ton of water out... I heard that the snow pack is at 111% right now.
