I wasn't whining nor implying that Oregon deserved a NC bid. All I was saying (b/c you referenced Oregon) was that it would have been interesting to see where they would have gone, or could go next year had Dixon not gotten hurt and/or was not a senior and returning this year. It was a mere reflection on how good UO looked with Dixon at the helm......that's all.

Why would you be whining, you guys beat Oregon and represented the Pac 10 well in your bowl game (unlike others, UCLA).

Having had my team be a victim of Dennis Dixon, I would tend to agree with you. It is amazing what a difference he made to his team. With Dixon, Oregon looked liked a National Champion, without him they appeared to be a below average Pac 10 team.

Good article. Although there solution still protect the big conferences and leave the little conferences wishing a way in.

I bet that is a team from a small conference would not have the chance to play on 4 or 8 team championship.
