WOW Doms, I'm glad that you got that off your chest. It must have been building up inside of you for some time.
The only point I'll make is that, yes USC could lose to IL, espcially if Booty breaks his finger again and Carroll thinks that he is invincible and doesn't pull him from the game and replace him with an able bodied quarterback. But the fact of the matter is that Illinois is the third place team from a weak big 10 conference.
Given that USC should (let me repeat... should) beat them. Not a guarantee, but being an SC fan, I can't go against them, I have to throw it out there that they're going to win.
I can somewhat agree that OU has more of a case for being in the NC game than SC (Stanford did us in) and many others. Can there be a more compelling reason to have a playoff than this year? The answer to that is yes, look at the majority of the years and more times than not the BCS screwed up and didn't get it right. (IMHO).
I can also understand how you feel being in a place where there aren't many fans that care about your team. I live in Utah and cheer for SC, when they win I can hold my head high around town, but when they lose we take it on the chin. My kids feel it the worst as their friends in school really let them have it. They even asked if they had to go to school the day after Texas beat them a couple of years ago.

sorry i get a lot bent up and stored up here cuz I can't talk to any reasonable fans.
I never have liked SC, but that's because out in the midwest we are learned to hate them and also we hear different coverage then what is out here. Now that I'm on the west coast I see a different side to them. I still don't like them, but really I hope you guys win this game. I just also don't like there fans, who are already talkin crap, but you already read that.
I also hear you about the location. My biggest thing here though is not that there are no OU fans, there are just no fans in general. Carley and I will go to a bar to watch football and the girls will be like SC is the best, and carley pipes back why, they say cuz reggie bush is cute (GAG!!!) come on now have some facts to back it up. It's funny cuz then guys will get going on a rampage and carley who knows football will put them in there place and that's never good with some of the 808ers around here. Sometimes I wish she didnt' know football, but then again, that's only here. Other places guys think it's hot that she knows it(I know I do )
they need to go to a play off, bar none!! the BCS is worthless and it's not getting any better. This year there could be honestly 10 or is it 12 teams that all have the same record and "deserve" it!!Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

Do you have a lot of wrestling fans out there, I think wrestling is pretty big in Bakersfield.
