I have had mine for almost a year, and it has been pretty trouble free.

Thanks dude! Hey, this thing seems to be really well built, i'm impressed! In order to hook it up to my Pioneer DEH-P4900ib i'll only need the pioneer CDA-RB10 cable to plug into the hu's bus port. Around $20-30 total; Now i just have to wait until spring"Call me anything you want ... Just don't call me NOBODY!

I only bought one. Still found it again at Stootsi.com and have another one coming for $25.
I went to hook it up to the boat today. The unit is pretty sensitive to voltage drops. The boat has been in the garage for 6 weeks now, and I have tinkered a little bit so the batteries are a little low. The unit will not stay on unless it sees a full charge. I hope it is not that temperamental when using it at the lake.
Where I put the display and controller is paramount, but that depends to a large degree on if the Ipod can still be used while connected to the unit. I do not want to be the driver in total control of the music, I have enough to worry about, but on the other hand, I do want to be able to make adjustments when I see the rider needs some music and no one in the boat is paying attention.
Can you control the music with the Ipod itself while it is connected? Please help!?Be excellent to one another.

Tall, i've since heard it's sensitive to voltage drops as well but i think on the water where your bats are charging you'll be ok. I seriously doubt you'll have control of the ipod itself as this is overriding it's functions, at least that's what i was led to believe but i'm not sure."Call me anything you want ... You cannot control anything from the iPod itself... Everything is done through the HK interface...
I was playing around with mine today and got it installed temporarily on the boat... I still need to drill some holes and screw some things in place... Does anyone know if you can buy an extension cable for the remote? I want to put it in the drivers position and don't have enough cable to do it... It looks like it's a standard 2.5 mm plug but it's got kind of a goofy end on it... The display will go nicely next to the glove box with the cable being run down the vent with everything going in the dry storage next to the amps...
Anyone familiar with the cables for the remote/display?
Thx...
