    CHECK THIS OUT

Wow this came across the consumer affairs alert email blast today that I subscribed to. Thought is kind fits this thread. I feel for Malibu that this kind of stuff is being posted I am sure this has to hurt them a little. If I were Malibu I would be contacting this guy ASAP and coming to some sort of resolve with it. They may have already done so by looking at the date of the event.

If the supposed "submerged object" had ripped the rudder and prop shaft/support out and sunk the boat, which has happened) would he still blame them (Bu) for a poorly designed boat, hhhmmmm How dare they hang a propeller and a rudder off the bottom of the boat

You're kidding, right? He hit something with his wedge. It had to be a significant impact for it to rip off the transom. Boats are not designed to run into things. What does he want, an airbag, 5Mph bumpers? This guy is definitely out there. You couldn't make the wedge viable if it were not mounted in a pretty stout manner to the transom.

It's thinking like this that takes the fun out of everything and makes things expensive.

Didn't he have insurance? Usually that pays for it. Think about what happened in Lunchbox's situation. Was that Tige's fault?

Sounds like he power turned and ripped the wedge off. I believe Malibu issued a statement about that.

He'd have probably sunk that as well and then whine about it...

That guy is a dork. The wedge hangs down about to the middle of the prop. It is just a little wider than the prop, so I guess it is possible to hit something without taking out the shaft, strut, and prop, but EXTREMELY unlikely. What really happened, I am sure, is the idiot did not have insurance, so he is looking for some way to get his boat fixed. Props to Malibu for not worrying about him.
                      Be excellent to one another.

You know it's funny... I thought maybe someone from Tige would get in touch with me or something regarding my whole situation and no one ever has... Not that there's anything they could have done or anything but I guess I thought maybe they would have liked to hear a first hand account of what happened...

                          One more thing...

After reading this it's obvious that the guy didn't have insurance... All he wants is a new boat and can't afford to pay for it and is trying to find some restitution... Just my

                              Well said Tall

I posted it to see your guys opinion on things.

It is guys like this that cause the price of things to go sky high. Even the attorney he talked to did not want to take the case. Is that a red flag or what? He probably accused the attorney of being a co conspirator with Malibu. My though is that he backed into the shore line with it down or left it down when putting it on his trailer. Then as someone else said he probably did not have insurance and I wonder if alcohol was part of his day at the lake. I am certain that Malibu is a large enough and reputable enough company that if it was there fault they would have taken care of the guy.

As I said in my first post I am sure Malibu is all over this and if not they will be soon.
