New Z1 vs. 21I for Slalom wake

Hi there,

has anyone slaom skied behind the new Z1? How does the wake size and shape compare to the 21i? I called Tige HQ and they claim 20% better slalom wake & wakeboard wake than the 21i. However, I find it hard to believe since it is a V drive?

There are very few that have riden behind the new z1. There is only two or three of these boats that I am aware of that were already produced. But again, I am not a Tige employee either. Sorry, not a lot of help but again, the z1 hasn't really been displayed very much except for when Tige had their Dealers Meeting about 1-2 months ago.

I would think that the 21i would be better becuase, like you said, its a Direct drive. Although the hull shape may be different on the Z1 and that would cause for a better slalom wake.

The real answer here is, no one really knows. Very few people have seen the Z1 in person let alone get a pull behind it. And as far as I know no one on this site owns one.

The z1 is 100inches wide or 2 inches narrower than the 21i this could make for a smaller wake as well as less weight , the wake looked good to me at the dealers meeting but I didnt get to ski behind it because it was to rough out that day.
