Take a test ride and form your own opinion. The guys here have given you a great list of things to check out on the test rides.

If you don't surf, most likely, you WILL once you try it. Do not underestimate how dissapointed you will feel if you get a boat, that doesn't do well surfing. The sanger has a very low freeboard, and tuff to get a decent surf wake. On my friends, when he weights it down to get a decent wake, water actually rolls over the vinyl on his rear sun deck on the listed side. The 22Ve will be worth the extra money, and you will love the versatility and fuel economy of the Tige. Wakeboard, Skiing, Surfing, I truly don't think there is another boat that can do all 3 as well, and still give you 6 gallons per hour of fuel economy.
Rags, just outta curiosity what boats do they have? I could see that on the V210 but not so on the V215. We surf on my buds V215 all the time and while the wave isn't the biggest i've seen, with stock port ballast filled and five peeps it's definately doable.

Here's a couple shots (only ones i could find quickly) from Hogan this year. Notice the wave in pic two and the angle on the rear deck. Now i know if we had more peeps in the boat it would be a lot bigger and longer as we did it at Shasta and it was a lot nicer but the rubrail is nowhere near the waterline. In fact at Shasta with 8-9 peeps it was still way up.

I think it's worth noting that the Sanger V215 is the equivelent to the 22ve where the Sanger V210 would be closer to the Tigé 20v. The V210 is a narrower boat with less freeboard too though. Also the V210 is the V-drive version of their DLX hull which has been around forever and while it will throw a pretty decent wakeboard wake when weighted down it's not really a surf friendly boat like the V215.

I think its the 210. He lives 5 mins from new hogan, so on there all the time. We have another friend with a 215. I think they do ok with casual surfing, but when you want to get that wake bigger, the gunwale is just too low for my taste. I think the sangers are great boats for the money, but I think surfing is best suited with a "thicker" boat. We were at several surfing competitions this year, including worlds, so I have seen lots of boats setup for surfing. The sanger just seems to sit to low in the water for me, and may be why I rarely see it at the comps. My friends with the sangers, love surfing behind my 24Ve.

Good question! The boat has been out about two months now but they haven't changed their site in ages.
