    RZ2 wakesize vs. 24Ve

    which is bigger?

I hear that the Rz2 has a decent wake. But does it match up to a 24ve?

Just want to know before I buy the Rz2 next week.

    Thoughts?

    Pics would be great!

Equally weighted, I bet they are fairly close

When Kevin and Deric were working at CWS, they said that the wake will have the same shape. However, I have riden in the RZ2 and my 24Ve but I didn't notice the difference between them. I wish that I boarded behind it.

I think I might just have to install that ballast system on my boat to show you up.

This is odd and it may help your comparison. While surfing - the wake behind my 24ve was big enough for me to complete 360's. I can't 360 behind my RZ4. Oddly enough I weighed 215 behind my 24ve and this summer I weighed 190 behind my RZ4. That 24ve throws a fantastic wake, at least for surfing.

The running surface is identical, right? So I can only conclude that the swimstep alters the shape of the wake on the RZ, is that true?
          Be excellent to one another.

True, but that's at wakeboarding speeds and above.

What about surfing speeds with the boat loaded down, is it the same?

Nope, the RZ4 weighs more than the 24Ve

so does that mean it has a different running surface at slower speeds?

It should be the same running space. It's the same size boat in length.

ya but does the pickle-nose get in the way and F up the surf wake or does it get up high enough out of the water?

Can't you adjust the TAPS plate to get the nose up out of the water where it won't matter?

IDK thats why I'm asking because it's not the first time I have heard the surf wake is not a good as the 24V/Ve.

People say it's the swimstep but what if it's the hull from the pickle-front causing the problem?

                        just a thought....

I'd say if you're about to drop that much coin you would be well advised to give both of them a very thorough shake down using them both as you would if you already owned them.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I don't think the pickle-fork has anything to do with the was the surf-wake is. I would assume that it's high out of the water.

so from what you guys are saying...the wakeboarding wake size should be the same? as the 24Ve? I have surfed a couple of times but mostly interested in wakeboarding. I think Im going for the RZ2 but I also think Im going to test drive both. Just getting a smoken deal on that RZ2.

Da.bell - we will be riding in April buddy! Get your spring suite! I tried riding in the river last week on my friends boat. I will never jump in cold water like that again. COLD!!
