I might be the only person who wants a Tige version of the mastercraft X-80, but it fits what I need. My wife and I are having our first baby in June and I'm a little concerned about my RZ4. I don't want to do the typical freak out and sell the boat move, I'd like to go the other direction and get a bigger boat. I want extra stability and safety.
Every other weekend during the boating season, we would dunk the bow. Occasionally, we would dunk it pretty badly. I already posted a thread about this issue looking for help, and I'm doing all the right things when I turn around. The truth is, I can never have adults up front and I can rarely have more than 3 or 4 little kids in the bow. This is also a symptom of our crowded lake. I don't want water to come over the bow or windshield of our RZ4 and hit our infant. A 28ft boat would probably not have this issue, even with people up front.
This is sad, but my wife and I only surf. Half the regulars on my boat are goofy footed and everyone else is regular. I don't now if there's any truth to this mastercraft picture, but supposedly the counter rotating props create an even wake. It would be sweet to surf two-up. I would also like to have two motors for a ton of reasons. You can "Tank" the boat making the boat easier to maneuver. Backup motor in-case one craps out in the middle of Lake Powell, it's happened many times.
I've been considering getting away from Wakeboard boats and buying a go fast boat, all my brothers have big DCB cats (Dave's Custom Boats). I really like them, but my wife thinks I'll miss surfing too much. We thought a bigger Wakeboard boat might be a good compromise, however the mastercraft 28 looks dated and it's not even close to the same quality as Tige. So, I think Tige needs to build a big boat. There's got to be other people who would like a 28ft Tige.
What do you think the chances of Tige building a 28ft twin screw might be? I'll be the first in line if it happens, I'd love to wrap that big boat. I know this may sound like a lame thread, but if I talk about a bigger Tige, maybe they'll think about it for a couple seconds.
