Need a good garage wakeboard holder

Since the season is getting to a close, I am thinking of putting things away for the winter (until March or so, except for a few wintertime flings). I could swear that I used to know of some terrific plans for garage wakeboard racks that were on WWW.DIYtower.com, but I do not see any such thing on there now.

How would you guys build some in garage board racks to store your boards?

It is a long story, but I have about 300 feet of 2 inch PVC pipe, so I might start with that somehow.

These are some pictures of my brother-in-law's garage at the river. I have tried to mine this way as well, but it isn't quite as orderly as his.

LOL, get some more boards & skis...looks like you're running low.

Tall, check out Monster Tower's board racks. You can get wall mounts for them.

        I have some

Tall, I have some that you can get. They screw up to the wall with screws. They are not priced to bad. I will post photos when I get home. For now here is the link to the catalog. Page 883. http://www.dmpmarine.com/proofs/2007watersports.pdf It is two padded hooks.

I have some of those hooks, but I need some that go out farther, because they do not fit a wakeboard in there, although his look like they might be a longer variety. Maybe that is the ticket...I'll have to snoop deeper next time I am at Lowe's.

I see it. That looks pretty cool. I would like to see how they connect to the wall.

Harbor Freight has them and they work fine for boards of all types.

very simple and functional. Cut 17" pieces 2x4 or 2x 6 what ever you have in your extra wood pile. span 16"on center studs. Used 1 1/4 in paddle drilled hole in center at 45 degree or so angle. Insert 3/4in conduit use 2 in screw through pvc to make sure pipe stays at ange wanted. Posts to hold boards are ruffly 24 " each and go through the wood and against exterior wall.

Hind sight is 20/20..If I did again would use 1 in hole augger instead of paddle and screws woudl likely not be required. would cut pvc to match approximate angle of the exterior wall. still going to add some foam pipe insulation for board protection...If you have kids you can add bungies to keep kids from knocking a board off be accident...any other questions I'll try to answer took about 2 hrs to make the whole rack after a 6 pack and not trying real hard...

for the money you'll spend on all that hardware, you can buy surfborard racks with padding on them for $25 that hold two boards with bindings, or at least 3 or 4 w/o!!!!
ill get them for you if need be!!!!

I stuck mine on the cieling in the basement between the floor joists for the winter. It's not functional to get them repeatedly like in the summer, but they are out of the way and safe for the winter.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
