the new cummins actually sounds like a V-8 and a turbine mixed together. Same for the duramax. The powerstroke... well, it shoots flames out the exhaust. good for tailgaters.

This threads kind of old (sorry I've been bouncing around the country the last two months on hunting trips) but if you remember right Dom I was the one working w/ Andy about doing a 24V with one.
The cost in the end just turned out to be way to cost prohibitive, and I was getting a hell of a deal.
If someone wants, the details they can PM me. And if someone is really interested, I can put them in touch w/ Andy and try and help you get the same deal I was gonna get.
Until Tige actually starts offering this as a production option, the cost is EXTREMELY prohibitive. Just to give you a reference.... the Mastercraft option is anywhere from $18K-$25K.
If it had worked out to a $6K to $8K difference, I was probably gonna do it. But it didn't.
Andy at H20 is still working w/ Tige to get it to a production item one day.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

Mastry Engine Center here in St Petersburg, FL has put the inline-6 cylinder yanmar in a Mastercraft X-Star as well as a Super Air Nautique 230, I believe it is a 230. I've talked to the people that own the X-star and it is a pretty awesome set-up. I haven't had a chance to see the SAN, but I am sure it is pretty awesome as well. From what I have read on TMC, the X-Star was kind of an r&d boat to put diesels in and then when MC went with VW(crap) Mastry sold the boat to the people that own it right now. Don't quote me on this though, it is all 3rd party. I know the VW is a v-6 but the yanmars are inline-6, the newer ones are based off the bmw diesels.Last edited by mtnsmith; 12-10-2007, 10:39 PM.

I think the BMW is an outsanding unit. An inline six will be awsom for torque. I say go diesel. Better fuel mileage, More torque,

The diesel's that H20 are using is the AM General Diesel found in the Hummer. Well.... a modified version.
Don't forget Runne.... the new 6.4L not only shoots flames but also comes w/ a wallet draining 12mpg if your lucky on average from most people.
And the new Cummins' are blowing up turbo's in less than 10K miles...lol.
Of course... 99.9% of this is all emissions related. Blasted DPF's.... good thing mine is goneBeing a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.
