Y, that seemed a bit high.

yeah I was considering this one also.

yeah I really want to go see what it looks like now. I hear or saw online that there is a bridge somewhere over there. tell you the truth since i have been riding the river I kinda dont want to deal with choppy lakes anymore. Yet i do miss good ole Folsom lake though!

I wakeboard just in the middle, my buddy likes it steep for a bigger kick, my kid goes and I make it a more mellow ramp. No moving sacks, it is like having several boats in one.
C'mon Tall...I know you have heard of the Power Wedge and MLS and what they can do.

Both TAPS and the Power Wedge are great pieces of hardware that let you change the character of the wake.

Yeah, but the power wedge is an option, and unless you know what you want in a boat, or have a great sales person, most likely, you will end up with a manual wedge witch does not hold a candle to the "stock on every tige" TAPS.

True, but ordering a $70,000+ 247 without the $2,000 power wedge is like buying a BMW 7 series without power windows. I think if you need a sales person to explain to you what the the power wedge is, I really don't think you are really buying the boat for its wake producing abilities.

You are correct. They're not, they are buying it because it says "Malibu" on the side.

I agree. I have never seen someone wakeboarding or surfing behind a 247, and I am on the water at least once a week. For as many that are sold here in Phoenix I rarely see them on the water and when I do they always are tubing. Same goes for the X-80.

Malibu builds a good looking boat though. But I think you hit it on the nail CHP. Plus Malibu has been around a few more years than TIGE' So I would hope they sell a few more boats. Generally speaking it takes a good 20 years for a Manufacture to establish them selfs in a specific industry.

It always kills me to see a wakeboat out there doing nothing but pulling tubes. Wakeboats have become a fad and are considered to be cool to own. Wakeboats also have great interior configurations that appeal to many people. I wonder what percentage of people who buy them actually plan to use take advantage of their boats' performance capabilities?

Yeah wouldn't it be cool to buy a "tubing" edition boat...

Build it with Diesel and a ton of weight to build a massive have for the tube to jump over.

I am one of I think 95% of people who can't use their boat to it's performance capabilties. I hate tubes, but will pull one when I can't get anybody to do anything else. I am glad to be part of the fad and I do think it is cool to own a wake boat. I just think Tigé is the best value or was when I bought mine. I surfed behind an X-80 once it was awesome. Compition is good for all companies, without the X-star would we have a RZ2? I prefer being the guy that has strong points about my Tigé without having to tear others poduct down. I have great fiends with Master Crafts and Malibus and without them taking me out on their boats I would probably still be in an I/O. I hope all enjoy time on the water doing whatever makes them happy.
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.
