24Ve wake size vs. bu 247 wake size

Anyone had the chance to ride both? Im in the market for a new rig this next summer and just wanted to know if the 24Ve wake compares to the bu 247 wake? I have got the chance to ride on the bu 247 allot this last summer but never rode a 24 ve at all. I really like the wake on the bu. Its huge and rampy.

We test drove the bu 247, and almost bought it. The 24Ve wake was a bit smaller with no ballast compared to the bu with the wedge and ballast. However, the 24ve with just 800 lbs in the back is awesome. Huge and rampy. I actually have to remove my ballast when my kids are getting ready to compete at INT, or the wake is too big compared to the boats at the event, and they are all weighted.

Here are some great pictures of the wake behind the 24Ve with 800lbs of ballast in the rear lockers (400ea) and just my family. 2 adults and 6 kids.

Hey, I offered last summer to take you on my boat buddy!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so here is what I have done with the 24Ve. TAPS at 4, speed at 22, rope out 65 feet, and 5 people. The wake is about knee high.

Since I wasn't able to ride behind yours this last summer, I can't compare but from the looks off it from your boat, I would say it was about the same size as your 20V with all your sacs.

I have ridden behind a 247 for a week at Powell and gone back and forth from my 24V. The bu rigged up with ballast and wedge is about 2" taller and wake is a little more verticle. This is compared to my 24V no ballast. If my buddy raises the wedge wake is about the same height or if I fill a 550# sac in the walkway mine grows to his size. Both very good boats and we all have fun with what we have. He takes water over the bow and rough water ride is not as nice. I think his fit and finish is better. Thats my We also have an x30 with us every year and all three boats compare wake wise very close just slightly different angled ramps. We have five families at Powell and the two with out wakeboats love all three boats the same, at least that is the politically correct thing to say when wanting a pull from all three No one has stated they can't do one trick on one boat that they can't do on another. I think the Tigé is still the best value and I know what they paid for theirs.
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

y, that sounds like my experience, bigger when tige has no ballast. Just a little ballast on the tige, and its better. And ask what the mileage is on the bu with the wedge and ballast. I still get 6gph with all my fam and the ballast.

I do agree on the malibu interior, its about the best I have seen as far as fit and finish.

This is great news. I really like the style of Tige way better than the bu. And Im not to fond of hitting my head on the bu's low tower...ouch! 3 times I did that. Gave me the worst head ache for a week.

Thanks guys for the input. Im going to test drive a 24ve sometime next week I hope. I love my 20V but lately I have been spoiled on the bu 247 wake size. Im getting sick of having to lose all my storage space with all my peeps on the boat for the phat sacs.

Da.Bell I know I should have taken you up on that

One more question How much should I pay for a 24ve? Off season I mean.

I paid $57k for mine, no ballast, with trailer, 340hp, Z tower, speedset...

However, I opted for NO stereo. I had it done on my own, spent $4k.

Off season or prime? And does it make a difference?

Just before season, end of april. They had a lot of inventory. BTW, that was without tax or anything, just the sticker. I went in, they said they wanted to move the boats, and had a special price, he told me, and I didn't haggle. It was almost 10k less than what I expected.
