My 06 Honda Pilot... Not great but hopefully in Spring I'll have something with a little more pull...
LBX
Wow that is very scary. I would find some friends that have a truck and like to go skiing. You provide the boat they provide the truck until you get one. I would hate to see or here you had major wreck. That boat is heavier than the tow vehicle and that is not save at all. Just be careful please.

It's not that bad... the truck is rated at about 5500 lbs. and my boat is about 5700... The brakes on the trailer are great and the truck doesn't have any problems stopping... Like I said I'm planning on picking up a new vehicle in the spring so I can make longer trips...
hmmm 3475lb dry weight + 1600lb (min) weight of the trailer + 195lbs (5.6lbs/gallon) of fuel = 5273 lbs.
I seriously hope that your honda is 4wd with the 4500lb capacity... 2wd has 3500lb.
Either way, you're well over the rating of your vehicle. its not normal stopping, its emergency/rapid stopping. This is an accident just waiting to happen.

I think It's saying the 2wd and 4wd or 3500 for "other" trailers and 4500 for boat trailers.
LBX need a new truck dude, way over the limit.

A buddy of mine is DOT guy and he would park you on side of the road. Other bigger thing is if you get in an accident (even not your fault) you are gonna be uninsuranced as soon as the insurance company finds out the boat was over the legal limit. I know trucks are not cheap (recently bought a Titan) but come on man, you have a $50k boat, buy a full size beater truck in the meantime, it is not safe. My 2 cents anyhow.
