Of course there is the great Ford/Chevy debate. And I am always willing to accept that another man has a different preference than I. And honestly, as far as looks go, that style F-150 is about the best looking ford I know. But Matt, your not just any guy. Your a Garcia, you must live to a higher standard, you must be true to the ways of the bean. There never was, nor never will be a FORD impala. I don't think "La Bamba" will ever be painted on a Ford. I have several uncles living on pensions from GM, I think they would send out the mexican mafia if I drove a ford.

I am here to help, brother. ;-)
Hahahaha! Thats pretty funny ragboy! Well if I can redeem the Garcia last name my wife does drive a Tahoe.

I grew up on Chevys, thats all my dad ever had, still does to this day. I switched to Fords when I bought my first Diesel about 6 years ago and have just stuck to them since. I like the body style on the Texas Edition Silverado but I did not like the feel of the "cockpit". Ehh..maybe it was just the truck I was driving (rental).

Does that thing seriously move the boat? That's a great idea.
That's the only way to get it in my garage, and the only reason I bought the "yard tractor" hence, no John Deere.

                  Here's my theory,

Drive whaterver works for you, brand doesn't mean SH$T.

I have an 07 Ford Powerstroke King Ranch 4x4 Short Box single rear wheel and it works best for my wife and I. We own an 05 Arctic Fox 860 camper and needed the 4100 payload that the Ford delivers because none of the other 1 ton SRW trucks comes close, and the Power Stroke delivers the torque that we need for the camper load and towing our 22V on long distance trips.

For me it's not about name brand or status symble it's about practicality.

This Tuesday I saw a guy towing a newer DD Correct Craft with an older Caddilac around a 1985 and thought hey if it works for him WTF...............

I have to agree with Carter... Drive with whatever works for you...

As a beaner myself (My last name is Garcia too) I feel like I'm driving the wrong truck... I have a Honda Pilot that does O.K... I'm planning on buying a Nissan Pathfinder with a V8 in the spring so I can take my boat on longer trips... I like the Nissan for the fit and finish... It reminds me of my Infiniti...

I have owned Fords and liked them, but I also like my Denali. I'm with Carter, I am going to drive what works for me. Maybe my next truck will be a Toyota?

                          Hey Moki,

I worked for a street dept. locally for 7 years and have never seen red asphalt. I noticed in your pics that they have been crack sealed but am curious how much of Utah has red asphalt?

The sanding rock that Bend Oregon puts out during the winter is volcanic and red in color. BTW nice rig.

Moki that pic is unfair, the back drop gives you the win. Maybe next years stereo contest should be in Zions, then you could win that also via home field, back drop advantage. By the way, that boat doesn't even look like yours. Great pic.
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

I like nissan too. I had a 300zx I LOVED. I bought my daughter a 1997 nissan pathfinder for her first car. Nothing against toyotas, it just seems nissans are also very well built, but easier to find good deals.

I agree you should drive what you like, I don't like when people buy a car for status, but different strokes and all. I honestly have always loved chevy, and the motors, especially the small block 350. I have always test driven other brands like fords to make sure I wasn't being blind, but just didn't like them. Its a good thing also, because I wasn't kidding about the uncles on pension from GM. I would seriously have to explain myself. I grew up in the san fernando valley, and their used to be a HUGE GM plant in Van Nuys that employed a TON of latinos.
