One of my friends that I wakeboard with is on his second Epic. He had a DD and loved it so much he bought a V drive version. Two things that stand out on this boat is that the engine is not as loud as others and it very economical on gas usage. He did have a hard time finding a Perfect Pass unit for his motor. Overall its a nice boat to drive and ride.

They were nice boats. I have seen a couple around here and they seem to be very well made. It's too bad the big recall happened otherwise they might still be in production. It just goes to show how dedicated they were when they replaced all the recalled boats with brand new ones. They also guaranteed availability of parts and support until 2011. That's pretty incredible.Comment

something that I find interesting:
Volvo Penta 8.1L V8.... 375hp
Tigé/Marine Power 6.0L... 400hp
Even if you were to get the 8.1L HO version (IF V-P makes one) thats still rated at 425hp w/ a 2.1L advantage. So... assuming the torque is similar, I think I'd still go with a 6.0L.Freude am Fahren.Comment
