Ya gotta hand it to Epic.
They have tried to be different and better than the average WB boat builder.
If ya walk around the boatshow in LA, ya hear lots of BS from the other WB boat builders other than Tige'.
We've all heard the non-sense MB and CC speil at you.
Tige is proof you can sell a boat line on the strength of the boats character alone.
It's a big hurdle for Epic to jump, so they have taken a bold new departure to be a standout.
We like low freeboard (22i, perfect), good GPH and a dedicated-to-the-brand dealer. We found this out the hard way, twice.
I'm not sure if this is a question, but the caption for each picture says, "Stock Wake" - "Stock Ballast" - "Stock Surf"
I thought this was interesting too... This is the transom in stealth mode... You'd never know all those speakers were under there...
What your seeing is the current transom audio system. The one posted at the beginning of the thread is the new for '08 transom audio setup after teaming up with Sony and Kicker.

The hull on the Epic is designed with a lot of freeboard due to the fact that the hull is designed to drag the boat down into the water as speed increases. Without that high freeboard the stern would almost be under water the way these things sink in.
While i'm not a fan of the nose job everything on this boat is designed for one and one thing only, the wake. It's not dual purpose and unless your a hardcore boarder you probably wouldn't be happy with this boat. I've been through it and seen it in action and it's quite impressive for it's intended purpose. You wouldn't want to drag the kiddies around on a tube with this though and totally forget skiing!

Look how far off the water the platform is, looks like at least 8-10" You would have to keep it loaded down with 3k lb's of ballast just to get the platform down to the water line.
This is definitely a sport specific boat like Razz stated. Not a family friendly all-around boat like a Tige. It may work for some of you 20 something hardcore boarders, but not us.
Gotta give then credit thou, they are going after a niche/market just like Tige did.

ha ha .. i think its funny how everyone is concerned with the fuel consumption.. lol if you want good fuel consumption go by a john boat.. ha ha ha ... fuel is a small price to pay for a great wake in my opinion..
