That's all drought. I flew through Birmingham a little while ago and was amazed at how low the lakes around there were. You could make out a huge ring of exposed lake bottom even from 30k feet in the air. I wanted to take a trip up there in the late spring possibly but that might change if the level does not come back up.

"Man that is bad." I saw this lake on the news a few weeks back and at that time they estimated that there was about 60 days of water left and the normal consumption rate. Is that still the case? Did you guys get any of the rain that past up the east last weekend? Im sure it will take weeks of rain to get that lake back up to full pond.I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

As of today the lake is down 15 feet with no relief in sight. The marina I keep my boat at is all but shut down. I went by yesterday and they were moving the floating sales and fuel dock out to deeper water (what little is left). We need rain and I mean a lot of it. I guess the only thing to do now is to figure out more stuff to add to the boat, more bling, LEDs, subs, maybe a DVD player and removable flat screen mounted to the tower???

Man that sucks! Last year our local lake was down 12ft. Most of the ramps were closed because of low water. This year most of the ramps were closed because they were under water. The lake had risen about 12ft over pool. Thats about 24ft of lake level fluctuation. There is hope for next year!

Ahhh quit your cryin'! Seriously our lakes in Cali are down 75-150 feet! Some of them such as Folsom are dry and others are so dangerous you can't safely ride on them. If we don't have a wet winter this year there may not be any boating out here next season!"Call me anything you want ... Just don't call me NOBODY!
