Sorry to see those levels so low, boys! You guys can always take a road trip up here north of the border. A lot of our lakes, here in BC anyways, are well in excess of 400ft. deep and wedged between mountain ranges, so the water level stays really high thanks to the snow pack melting and running down the mountains each spring. That being said I know at my mother in law's place in Saskatchewan, they have had the same problems because they're not getting the amounts of snow in the winter that they used to, so their lake levels are dropping a lot each year.

Last May our dock was about 250 yards from the water that was down 18 feet. Started raining in the middle of May, and by July 4th, had to cancel the party because the lake was closed the dock was under water as was half our lot. There is always hope for next year. Still ticks me off to drive down the street and see water flooding down the gutter and into the drain from some moron who cant adjust their sprinkler system. That is our lake water running down the drain.

That is scary. Looks like the west only it is not half as bad. This year we all need to be seeking a higher power asking for a good snow pack and spring season. If we don't we may not be wake boarding next year. Our lakes are lower than that.Last edited by anhaney; 11-06-2007, 07:37 PM.
