Late 2007 Scott changed the design of the bimini so you DO NOT have to remove it to open/close/ attach.. etc etc

You can see the new "slide" he is using in the pics ( similar to a RV awning) that allows the bimini to reach the higher location for set up without any disassembly.

All you do is, loosen the knobs, slide the Bimini up, lock in the 2 small arms, tighten the knobs in place and secure the front tie downs.

One person job, taking maybe 2 minutes.

It is a really slick design....

Tell me about it... my 22VE had the older design, and it was such a pain, unless it was really hot it wasn't going up..

Now with the new boat, I have the slide and it makes so much of a difference.

Is that 4K the cost not including someone installing it?

How much is the factory Tige tower listed at?

Never mind. Looks like from the 07 boat show it is about a 4K option.

This was posted on an RZ2 at the Las Vegas boat show in February. You could actually get a pretty cheap boat if you didn't get any options.

I have though about putting this one on my boat. I like the fact that I have a built in rack for surf boards and skates or anything else for that matter. Fly High tells me it will mount right up to any existing holes on any boat. It is adjustable to any boats existing mounts. It is all polished stainless steel metal and they claim like all others that it is the strongest in the industry.

b/w05 - thanks for the pic, I have to fold my tower down everytime I put the boat in storage, that looks like a slick setup. Can you fold it by yourself easily? I can take down and put up mine by myself, but it is tough to get it all lined up and a stretch.

                            AustinSouthSide,

It's a piece of cake to lower & raise it myself. No offense to my wife, but she can do it herself also. It's easier to lower & raise if I can stand in the boat to do it. It just takes a little longer if the cover is on because I have to stand on the fender steps a unscrew the handle bolt on each side and then go to the other side and do the same. It's just adds 30 seconds or so. There's only 1 stud bolt on each side that has to line up and the 'scissor" uprights fold right up. It's so easy, I'll try to get some photos this weekend of it with close ups and put in the How to Section.
